Basically, this is for people to try and get downloads on their car designs, but apparently you have to get some what around 120 downloads in the space of 24 hours to be able to receive a payment for your designs. But as people don’t tend to download newly made designs as they are either poorly designed, or have a low rating compared to the top designs. So by creating this topic, it would be nice to see the Forza community help each other out by swapping designs around with one another, helping to be able to sell their designs. I hope this helps, sorry if this confused anyone, etc.
It is at least over 140 uses, I don’t think anyone has confirmed the actually number but from my test yesterday 140 did not qualify for payout.
What we should do is all post a few (1-3 maybe? If we spread it out to much it is not going to work) of our favorite livery (by car) to request others to use? Then if everyone in this thread makes an effort to use each others designs it MIGHT help.
Designs = 100+ uses in 24hours
Tunes = 50+ uses in 24hours
There is a cap on how much you can actually earn in a day also. The thing is it is set by turn10s time zone so your 24h’s might not be the same as theres and you could be doing a lot of extra races for nothing.
Here is a quote from x360a by A. Gamer:
I personally did 120 on day 1, another 120 again on day 2 and on the third day the 30k cheevo popped when I logged into the main menu of forza 5.
I personally did 140 uses yesterday (straight, no time zone change interference) and did not get any Design achievements. (me or my buddy, both using eachothers tune and design). The uses showed up (it went up 140) but all I got was the normal freelance message. I did get ~5500k Tune Reward.
EDIT: I was wrong, just took another day to payout. Thank you S4W.
Timezone is a factor as I mentioned above ,you could have done 70 or 80 races before the reset then the rest after so you wouldn’t have been counted as it wasn’t 100+ in 1 day (turn10s day/timezone).
The info I copied form x360a is the result of a handfull of users that took notes on how many races they did, what they were paid out or wasn’t paid out. Many confirmed very similar results as you can see from the info that was posted. As I said I personally did this myself and it works fine. I did 240 races all up ,that netted me both the design and tune cheevies so I don’t know why it didn’t work for you (maybe mis counted?). All I did was stick a rubber band over the right trigger on a second profile and setup a 10 heat drag race pressing A each time to restart the heats.
You can check how many uses* your design has by looking at it in “My Designs” IIRC. Remember it has to be 100+ uses so if it says that when you check then you should be fine.
I checked multiple times and logged completely out as well as back in. I was at 140 uses. No credits, HOWEVER I logged back in last night and “poof” I had new messages with credits for the Designs. Apparently it just waited until the next cycle to pay out (even though I finished before the last cycle). IE: I finished before 7pm EST on 1/23 but it didn’t payout until after 7pm EST on 1/24. Sorry about that.
I think the direction of this thread is positive. Turn 10 obviously had community teamwork in mind for the new design/ tune payout system. The problem is that the Turn 10 “selects” aren’t great.
Personally I’m not looking for anyone to use my designs, but I’m happy to help out. I’m going to be hitting the multiplayer lobbies tonight with my 2012 VW Golf R and my 2013 Astra VXR. If folks want to throw together a good design for these cars and post them here before tonight then I’ll be happy to complete as many races as possible with them.
I’m posting this at 14:12 GMT. I’ll be on at around 18:00 GMT. Hopefully that gives folks some time to get to work. My only stipulation is that wheels be painted black, other than that design away.
Just remember that it has to be a full design and not just a couple vinyls you downloaded separately. I made the mistake of just grabbing some vinyls and putting them on that I uplaoded, they didnt count so it has to be a full car design. The design itself can be anything though ,doesn’t have to be a master piece so just pop a couple lightning bolts or some circles or what ever on a car ,name it and share it.
The lack of any sort of payment for 10 hours in the paint booth makes me not want to even bother anymore. Thanks for killing the enjoyment of being a top 10 graphic artist in Forza4 to not even getting one credit after 10 or more liveries with countless hours spent on them. Im crushed what you did to what used to be my favorite game to one that I can’t even recommend to any of my friends because it’s a downgrade to the last one. All the power of the Xbox one at your disposal to make everything great and all you did was make driveatars that wreck every body when you try to race in the career mode and that’s pathetic. What was supposed to be fun and fair about your online play is a joke too it’s still a freakin Mess it makes me not even want to play the game I’ll just go play battlefield 4 and wait till a better driving game comes out which will be when they release project cars. Soooooo Sad . Such high hops crushed by you and everyone that made this.
This is what truly concerns me. People like you who put a sick amount of time into creating what the majority of players can’t even picture in their mind, much less on a car are becoming discouraged because there is no reward or even a way to stand out among the others. The interface to actually find quality designs is so bland and featureless that it is extremely time consuming to sift though the 10,000 different designs where someone simply changed the color of the car, wheels, painted it camo, chrome, etc(you see where I’m going) to find a quality well done design. Unless they fix it fast many of the talented folks that give us such great content are going to stop providing it.
I’ve said it in another thread. If they listen to these forums it’s going to be in the Wishlist stickies. Post there to please revamp the search feature for new designs. Give us things like min layer count, popularity, etc as search criteria. Currently using the 2 keyword filters doesn’t help at all.
