I am not sure how many of you guys remember me from the Forza 4 days, but I have returned. I left for a bit as I had my first child on the way and wasn’t sure I’d have much time for gaming. Now that my kids are out of the wee baby phase, I am carving out a bit of time for gaming again.

I do have two questions for the good of the order:

  1. Are there “logo cars” again? I remember Zero (I think was his name) started a pretty amazing run of logo cars. I think there were around 20 in the group by the time I left. Is this alive in FM7?

  2. How does the new paint system work without being able to set prices for your paints? There’s no storefront like the old days, so I’m a bit confused about the user generated content economy.

Anyways, it’s good to be back. It’s also nice to be reminded just how BAD I am at the actual driving part.

I wasn’t around in FM4 … so not exactly sure … but if by “logo car” you mean a car with various unlocked logos and decals that you can use, there is no such thing now. Ever since FM5, all vinyls and full car designs are locked and cannot be shared by anyone other than the original creator. You can download the work of others, but only for your personal use.

As for earning credits for your creations, you earn credits automatically based on each download, like and use of your shared vinyls and designs. You cannot sell vinyls or designs.

Thanks PTG Wildcat. I actually just realized that about earning for created content when I logged on tonight and made some credits for something I posted Saturday. It seems a bit luck of the draw if people will find your stuff and/or use it.

Thanks, too, for the bummer news about the logo cars. At the end of the day, I understand why it has to be this way. People were definitely ripping each other off back in the day. It’ll be a bit of a grind to get a nice stable of logos… but hey, that’s half the fun, right?

Now… how many logos can I make that don’t have the letter “S” in them? :smiley:

It can be, that’s why it helps to enter your designs in the weekly comps. All ‘winners’ get 500,000 CRs plus their paint is featured in the top 20 designs people see when they search that specific car.
I hate the letter ‘S’ too… and ‘C’ !!! :wink:
