Vehicles you like or dislike the most compared to FH4? 🤔

Which vehicles do you like or dislike the most compared to FH4? :+1: :-1:

Bugatti Veyron is one of my favorites in FH5. I use it a lot. For me, it’s power delivery and handling are much better than FH4.

Hoonigan RS200 was by far my favorite car in FH4. It feels weird to me in FH5 and I never use it.

I dislike the WARTHOG is not in FH5. I have planned routes with the WARTHOG when or if, it arrives.

It is in FH5. Available from Wheelspin/Autoshow.

I feel like I’m one of few who could care less about what cars exist or don’t exist in this game. All I care about is fun gameplay. I mean there’s literally hundreds of cars already which is insane when you consider what goes into adding just one car. That is the car model/design, handling/physics, parts, interior right through to the sound the car makes.

Forza has loads if cars. Forza Motorsport has more tracks than Gran Turismo 7. In fact, every racing game since 2004 has had more tracks than GT and in the first time in console history as of August 2022;

xbox series x and xbox series s has outsold the PS5 in the UK, EU and US. Them increase in sales are, if you ask people why, they walked away from GT7 and its online only save, lack of cars, penaltys, rwd regulations, lack of tracks, no b spec mode and no drive train swap. Horizon and Forza has them all.

Cars, Cars and more cars make the difference. This time, xbox is finally proved itself.

I think many got fed up with the monetization that GT implemented. The “realistic” cost for some highly sought after cars, the reduction in payouts, etc.

The cars I have grown to love compared to my FH4 days are EVs.
I had no problem with the horsepower of those cars, but felt they lacked the proper gearbox.
I think the addition of the drift transmission has made this category more practical.

On the other hand, the car that became less appealing compared to the FH4 would be the Hoonigan Escort RS.
There is no change in the performance of this car. I still think it is one of the best cars in the Rally Monster category.
However, the 6+ gearboxes that made this car so special are now commonplace.

An example of how tuning parts have had a negative impact on a car would be the many cars that had the Rocket Bunny widebody kit.
With very few exceptions, such as the RX-7, these cars were not even given alternative widebody kits.
As a result, they could only be fitted with thinner tires compared to the FH4 era, and they no longer performed as well as before.
It is also fair to say that some cars, like the NSX, have lost their only aftermarket body kit, which has reduced their appeal in a visual sense as well.

When I was in a homeless place guys were racing in FM7 multiplayer and someone on the head set chat asked “How do you change gears”

The reply was “Use use the paddle on the wheel”

“I do not have a wheel” was the reply

“You xbox gamers are a waste of space like GT7 controller users moaning about gr3”

Moderators - Did nothing to protect the controller racers.

Ironic lol.

Dislike:
Bugatti EB110 SS
From being AWD meta in Horizon 4 to a “meh” car here. It was a MC only car and had fabulous handling. Handling got nerfed really harshly. With many other Horizon 4 meta cars left untouched ('05 Ford GT, McLaren 570, F1 GT, Mosler and so on) I don’t understand why it got the nerf stick.

ATS GT
Another top AWD car that got its handling ruined. Close to meta in H4, now absolute trash.

'12 911 GT 2 RS
Always liked this car because it’s the most modern Porsche we have that still feels “oldschoolish”. Shift penalties, massive turbo, unlike every modern Porsche no benefit from an AWD-swap, can act nasty if not treated correctly. Its handling got absolutely murdered.
My build is RWD on Slicks with no aero (aero makes it even worse) and I got overtaken on the outside through the long sweeping left on Copper Canyon by a soulless AWD swapped '05 GT. That was the moment I thought: “f… this game”.

Arguably the worst car relative to PI in Horizon 4 you can tell how PG went back to its data and manually adjusted it. Massive PI nerf, handling boost and high aero values. Still a heavy, high-powered EV that can’t compete with the broken S2 cars but drives very well for what it is.

The whole AWD meta that has plagued FH for the past 3 games is due to the trash tire physics model, the broken PI balancing and general unwillingness to listen to the community when they complain about this stuff. Things have gotten slightly better, but not enough to eliminate the meta, and I doubt it will ever completely go away.
We still can’t get the stock engines buffed like they need to, so we constantly see R32 GT-Rs V8 swapped, and V-12 racing engines on the drag strip…
