I recently pulled the trigger on an Assassins Creed bundle and also bought a msata drive along with an msata enclosure.
Anyone else running the same setup?
Just like Forza4, I bought an Xbox JUST for this game and the future editions of Forza.
I’m fricken stoked and can’t wait for the ssd & enclosure to get here. I have yet to get Horizon 2, I wonder if they are going to knock the price of it down during the holidays/BF?
I’ve installed FH2 onto the internal Xbox One drive - can I transfer all my stuff over to an external without losing anything?
I don’t see why not. It should be easy to transfer and if you’re worried about your game save, just use the wonderful power of the cloud to get it over to your console.
Thanks! Guess I’ll have to do my research on how to make it happen on the X1 - I only got it less than two days ago so I could play proper FH2 (and FM5, which is drawing me in as FM2, 3 and 4 did before).
The Xbox One has so much space that if you just got it, and all you have is Unity, Black Flag, and the two Forza games just install to the hard drive. You don’t need to go external yet.
I’m surprised someone sold you the Bundle before the game is out - did it come with Unity or do you still have to wait until next Tuesday for that? I saw a lady at my local Walmart putting the Unity bundles out and selling them. She said they came with the game inside, but of course, she wouldn’t pull a standalone Unity out of the back to sell to me even though they are there and they’re selling the console. Anyway, not the point.
It should allow you to have it on the console and the external, but I don’t think you need the external HDD yet.
I got an external for loading purposes. I spoiled myself with having literally everything I own run an SSD. Even my work laptop is running a solid state.
Since we cannot touch the internal, USB 3.0 with an msata ssd will prove to be a worthy investment imo.
The Bundle comes with two games, and I never really liked the assassins creed games, but I’ll keep playing Black Flag. Unity is not available for download till the 11th, if I end up not liking BF at all, I will sell Unity, maybe $10 off.
Just downloaded the Forza4 sound track and I cannot wait to get the drive, I will be playing the sound track while playing horizon 2, maybe switch back and forth between sound tracks!!!
When you get your SSD copy everything across,and then delete the game from the internal drive,before testing loading times
For some reason the Xbone seems to load the internal copy by default,if you have the game on both drives,so any tests will appear incredibly poor…thought I had totally wasted my money at first,but well happy after
I havent bought horizon 2 yet, figured if i did i would get impatient and end up playing it on the internal.
I should be getting the drive Thursday, maybe i can ask the boss to go home a little earlier! Lol
