Unauthorized in game credit purchase on already free car in unlimited edition -second identical car

Hi!!

I called Support for Xbox One for my new game Forza Motorsport 6 Ultimate Edition & selected games & apps. As you probably know those of us with the Ultimate Edition get to play five days earlier.

The agent I spoke with, Carli, was very agreeable. She came to the conclusion that she could not solve my problem & navigated me to this area through an email that linked me to the site. I have an unfortunate issue that is very important to me.

I pre-ordered Forza Motorsport 6 Ultimate Edition & first I must say it is AWESOME. I am having so much fun & it is at this moment my favorite game. Okay down to business…

My problem in which I hope could be resolved & someway solved is that On the 11th of September, I was downloading all my free cars that came with this edition and choosing attributes for said cars. After the fact, I went to re-paint, choosing my 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari that I received in a purchased car pack included in the Ultimate Edition, and somehow I do not know or remember my exact steps, it charged me as I finalized. As I stated the car DLC is free in the car pack (not sure which), but in the process it charged me $800,000.00 In game Currency (CR –Credits). The game even gave me a second, identical 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari.

I was hoping you could refund my $800,000.00 In Game Currency (CR –Credits) as I obviously I did not need, tried to get or want the same car twice. I was thinking maybe it would work if you could delete the second 2013 Ferrari LaFerrari & somehow use the Gift option to return me my $800,000.00 that mostly came from winning a wheel spin in the sum of $1,000,000.00. I’m not telling you how to do your work just pondering. I am not terribly technical & do not know what or how it is done but that came to me as a possible option. Again as well, is there any way I can take one of these two LaFerrari cars out of my Ferrari categories in the garage under my cars as it is freaking me out…OCD lol

Presently as of 11:00 am on Sep. 11th I am left unfairly with 471,220 CR under My Credits. (I purchased a Mod pack at $12,000 & won some funds on the way to this point & maybe, I forget if it is this game, Horizon 2 and/or Motorsport 5, that I was gifted $200,000.00 from the Forza Hub app for reaching a certain tier?) as already had VIP & most DLC for the previous two Xbox One racing games.

Please Help me or cc this email to the appropriate department. I love the game!!! In advance, I like to say I am so appreciative of you looking into this problem & helping me with an agreeable solution.

Again thanks for the consideration. Though, I emphatically believe this happened through no fault of my own, I will be understanding & agreeable to whatever is found to be fair & decided to be acceptable. Either way thanks for your time & energy.

Cars that come in DLC packs, while they’re free, and don’t charge you actual real life money, still have to be bought in game, I believe.

No, they are free in the game. No in-game credits are required to own the cars in the DLC packs.

You have to “buy” them in order for them to show up in your garage, but they don’t cost any in-game credits.

You’re actually both correct. On previous Forza games, you had to purchase the DLC cars with in game credits. It’s only more recently that they’re free to purchase.

I’m pretty sure you can sell the one you purchased with credits for 400,000. I’m not an employee of Turn 10, so I cannot tell you their capabilities. I doubt they can go in and modify your garage, since that is a locally hosted save file.

Sell the one you purchased with credits, maybe they’ll take pity on you and gift you the other 400k in credits to make it a wash.

Also, with regards to what Bipolar Dolphin said, you actually do get the cars in DLC packs for free. They’ll show up on the free tab in Forza 6’s car shop. edit: I got roughly 30 cars last night between the two car packs and my rewards cars.

Cheers, Ronin. I know that that’s how the DLC has been in previous versions, but wasn’t sure if they continued down that path.

The LaFerrari is not DLC, its a gift car for having FM5 VIP. It would have been gifted to you, so if you went to the Find A Car, and picked that one, it would charge you the normal price of 800,000 credits. All you can do is resell it for 400,000. Shouldn’t be a big deal, considering how easy money is to get in the game.
