Guys, I don’t play xbox as often as I’d like to anymore. But I loved Horizon 3. I want to get Horizon 4 but have 2 questions, hopefully you guys can sway me. #1. Is it worth the extra $40 to get the Ultimate Edition? I see a lot of really cool features & car packs. I’m thinking it’s worth it. 2. This is more speculative, but if I decide to get Ultimate Edition, do you think/know/have any experience with thinking that the Ultimate Edition might be a Black Friday Deal? All I’m seeing is the basic edition that’s gonna be on sale. Any info helps. Thanks!
For just the cars, is a tough say. Some nice cars with the car pass for sure and bond ones are nifty. So that is first part of value to you. The Agera and Zonda are nice and used lots for me and with your horizon 3 experience, again is how attractive are those to you?
The drift car stuff I dont even look at. Not my style.
Best values I feel are the VIP giving that nice house for free to double forzathon points, else is like a 5m credit house. Those double forzathon points means double super wheelspins from shop and easier to get forzathon shop items.
Lastly, the two expansions you get. Fortune Island is looming and looking grand.
Multiplayer is terrible in its current form…
If thats not a problem for you,. By all means go for it.

Ultimate edition is like buying car pass and 2 dlc with discount. If you like cars in car pass and want to buy upcoming dlc, then buy ultimate, you’ll get 1 more dlc for free. If you don’t want to buy car pass nor dlc or vip, then stay with Windows game pass or standard edition (whichever you have)
Big plus for TURN 10 (or Playground) for coming back to old behaviour - all DLC in One price. Its really good. We have game, 2 big expansions and all cars dlc for 100$. Past Forza Horizon 2 and 3 have expansions additional payable.
About Black Weekend - Forza Horizon 4 will be up to 35%? Ok… i count on 35% off for regular FH4 and 20% for Ultimate (the same price as with XGP). On the fact i beat the game on XGP trial and nothing to do up to release first expansion just waiting for Ultimate for 50-60$. If I havent done it yet, surely will buy it on Black weekend. Christmas price will have the same discount as every year.
The fact that both expansion DLCs are now included with the Ultimate Edition makes it even more worth it. Especially if you can get it on sale. As long as you’re not choosing between putting dinner on the table or Forza, I’d say go for it.

The ultimate edition is hands down the way to go if, A.) You have played prior games and enjoyed. B.) You plan on playing this for the entirety through the 2 DLCs. I mean it’s at a minimum $150 in value for $100.
However, if you’re on the fence, check out videos on Mixer, Twitch, YouTube.
I would rather advise u not to have any part of FH4…, if u think i’m just trolling or being nasty, just read through the Forum u’rself & see how many “Positive” Topics there are on the 1st few pages of it, compared to the negative. which one outweighs the other? btw: External Sources Reviews about this game, paints a pretty picture, but these are the same people that do not revisit their Reviews after getting really stuck into it (which i doubt they ever play again, coz they soon have other Titles to Review)
Yeah…, i’ve seen a certain Forza Staff Member reveal in the Forum how long certain players have played the game & indirectly “calling foul” on their negative views about the game, based on the time they’ve put in it…,
but that IMO, is the wrong assumption, as i have put in Countless hours in myself, but doesn’t mean i am enjoying it (it probably doesn’t make any sense for some, but that is how i feel), i only play the scraps that i get, every time the Season changes (sometimes not even the Rewards that it is suppose to dish out)… On a side note: Instead of Them dictating the Championships, i’d like to create my own as well, but alas, in this “upgrade”, i feel downgraded.
Yeah, i love driving around in games, coz i prefer car games…, so i’m likely to put the one on that has better visuals - Scenery & Cars (& yeah, this game looks Absolutely Stunning) & i prefer the way these cars handle, compared to the competitors…, never been a drifter before, never liked it, til i kept practicing that art, after completing the base game of FH3, now i can’t get enough of it.
I haven’t even touched the Ranked Adventure in this game (& i can provide anyone with the Screenshot to prove it) coz i’ve read on here what garbage it is, so it’s not worth my effort. I have qualified for it though, so when it ever gets fixed, i might put in some time there. I’ve played quite a few Adventures in FH3, & won most of them, so why am i not interested in this new style of Adventures?
If u wanna beat the base game, it will be a very quick…, unless u don’t have much time to play in a day. Showcases comes thick & fast & will be over before u know it (unlike FH3, where u had to play quite a bit to get to the next one)…, these ones were not even exciting, coz even T10/PG revealed some actual gameply of Showcases in their Streams, which spoils the “Surprise” to me.
I could go on & on, but rather stop here for now.
Not until the Lake Lodge bug is patched, where VIP owners can’t get double FT points at all. I don’t have VIP, I bought the house, I still get double.
