Are people buying the Deluxe, Standard, or Ultimate edition? I know the new system for the car pass is cool where you get two a week but the game has 400+ cars in it as it is. I’m sure it can be added at a later date but that may be more expensive than getting it bundled.
The included future expansion packs for Ultimate is a whole different story.
I would say, that unlike more recent years, it’s once again worth to buy the Ultimate edition, IF the expansions are on bar with FH3 expansions (although I didn’t like the Hot Wheels one, but it was still well made and polished; liked the Blizzard Mountain one though… a lot).
In general, buying things you know nothing about in advance is not a good idea. With Horizon games I’m willing to take that risk, but not with Motorsport games.
I felt progressively worse about throwing down for the Ultimate Editions of the last four Motorsport/Horizon games. This time it tentatively seems actually worth it, so I’m feeling pretty good about it.
Horizon is the only game series where I am more than happy to pay for the Ultimate edition. The value for money is insane.
Definitely the Ultimate. It’s what I’ve done since 6!
Other games I don’t ever buy ultimate or deluxe editions.
