Forza Motorsport 7 Ultimate Edition details and preordering

Release date: September 29, 2017 (Early Access)
Digital (console and Windows 10 PC): Store
Disc (steelbook case): Microsoft.com or other retailers

Q: Does the Ultimate Edition include all DLC?
A: Probably not; the included Car Pass runs six months, and previous Forza games have had expansion and car DLC not included in the UE.

Q: If I buy the disc version, will I have to pay or upgrade to play on the Xbox One X?
A: You only need one copy of the game, which will work on any Xbox One family console (original / S / X)

Q: Does the disc version work with PC?
A: No. Only digital downloads of the game have the Play Anywhere benefit of playing the same gamesave on Windows 10 PCs. If you start on disc and buy digital later, you’ll still have access to your gamesave progress and any owned DLC.

Q: Will I get the Hoonigan Car Pack if I pre-ordered the disc version,? Can I buy the pack later?
A: It appears not; only digital download pre-orders will have access to the Hoonigan Car Pack.

Q: What cars are in the VIP pack and Day One Car PacK?
A: TBA

Q: What time will I be able to pre-load and start playing the game?
A: TBA

Hoonigan Car Pack (Pre-Order Bonus Content - digital download versions only)

New players should be aware that previous Forza game Car Passes have been limited to specified regular monthly car packs and excluded later monthly car packs and expansion DLC. In short, previous Ultimate Editions have not included all DLC. If you are concerned about this, consider waiting for details before ordering. What’s listed in the description of the Ultimate Edition is all you are guaranteed to get, nothing more.

Reminder to pay close attention to the media format when pre-ordering. Only digital editions have the Hoonigan Bonus Content and Play Anywhere benefit:

Xbox Play Anywhere | Xbox

The ultimate edition is only $80? Price error or is the car pass reduced in scope?

It had better only be $80 cause T10 in the final analysis end up charging to much for digital content associated with the game, especially the expansion packs!!! So I guess that off $20 helps to offset the price of the upcoming expansion packs!

I would wait for links for all three editions before settling on an accurate price.

I assume the Microsoft store link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/store/d/forza-motorsport-7/8mp185kp4h3z/NJKT is for a digital download?

If anyone knows.

Thanks.

think that’s the disc version

what does it say on the cover just under the green xbone border

if its says “xbox one console exclusive” it’s the disc version and only playable on the xbone

the digital version says “play anywhere”

I hope it’s digital and the date updates

I cancelled this order, will wait for definitive digital edition, correct pricing and date.

Price got changed, says 99.99 now.

it’s a bit disturbing it took hours to correct a model thats been going for multiple games now…

I’m just keeping waiting until they sort that all out.

I think you need to make that sentence in a size 400 font and refer some people to Specsavers so everyone fully understands that.

No, even then people will complain that they bought the ultimate version and it doesn’t include expansions. I would’ve expected that this year they offer a Platinum Edition as well, that includes Ultimate Edition plus expansions.

There will still be people complaining about not getting the content they want?

Just curious if anyone was able to pre-order the Ultimate Edition for $79.99? My friend told me that he paid that and when I went to look, the price said it was $99.99. He even sent me a copy of the pre-order verification. Oh well, guess that was the early bird special.

If I had to guess that price was in error and he will be charged $100 when the game is available like anyone else. The system doesn’t charge you until either the game ships or is available for download.

I was able to order both a physical copy for $63.99 (20% off with Prime) and a digital copy for $79.99 from Amazon before they corrected the price.

I can’s seem to find the digital pre-order for FM7 anywhere, only the disc version is on the Microsoft Store.

Hopefully Ultimate means “Ultimate” this time, and not “Ultimate but without _____, ______ and ______”.

To be fair, “ultimate” by definition does not and never has meant “all”.
