One definition is “maximum” which itself means “the greatest quantity possible” or, to put it simply: All
Another definition is “final”, as in there’s nothing beyond this.
Either way, the Ultimate Editions have historically failed to live up to the moniker.
I got the Ultimate Editions the last few times, but I am planning on just getting the standard this time. And unless they reveal something that really wows me, I might not be getting it at launch.
Ultimate also means the best
The ultimate edition is still the best edition available so it still technically fits the description
Just because some people choose to interpret it differently makes no difference
Not defending it..just stating how it is
Been this way since fm3 and can’t really see them changing it..it is what it is
It is still a discounted version compared to if you buy everything individually
I’ve slung my hat into this particular ring for the very first time when buying an Ultimate Edition. I usually buy the disc version second hand and have done since FM3, but since buying FH3 nearly new I see I missed out on a lot. So I paid the handsome price for the Ultimate Edition and shall hold judgement until then on if it’s a con or not as some in the forum have complained about. I’ve bought all of the add one for FM6 and FH3 over the space of a year when they’ve either become needed or on sale. Look forward to seeing when my Xboxes linked up to my upscaling 4k UHD amp and TV setup will make it all. Scorpio can wait…and so can I. I have a setup I feel could match what’s on offer in this beauty, let September come…
Pre-ordered my copy from the uk store for £79.99,showing release as 29/9/17 but the confirmation email shows release date as 31/12/17. I assume they will update as and when.Cant find a digital copy at the moment though.
Thats fine as i dont own a pc,just a laptop. And my laptops not high enough spec to run forza!
Cant see a dig version yet,my forza 6 ultimate edition is a digi download but either copy is fine for me.Unless theres some bonus content for digital copies.
Put down a UE pre-order in my local GAME store yesterday… seems they’re also adding a diecast version of the Porsche as well. It was listed as £79.99 on the website last night (and checking while I type) it’s still listed as £79.99
Maybe I’m reading it wrong, but I hope the “Pre-Order Bonus Content” isn’t something that would be different if I purchased a physical Ultimate Edition copy. It would suck for those of us who prefer physical disc versions to now see content for digital orders only.
I was wondering that as well. I plan on getting a physical copy with the steelbook, but it would be a bit disappointing if only those they pre-ordered a digital version got preferential treatment.
Actually, I think you get both items if you pre-order a physical copy. I was more referring to the digital content for FM7 and FH3, which is probably a car pack for both. Not a big deal for FH3 as I have them all so far; however, if it a car pack for FM7 that you get for free, that isn’t included in the Ultimate Edition or car pass, then it becomes a problem.
I went to purchase this in the Microsoft store at 99.00 for the Ultimate edition. I only buy digital copies as I am lazy and don’t want to change discs every time I change a game I am playing. This copy or at least the picture of the game says Xbox one console exclusive on the game picture shown. Is this in error? The digital version is supposed to be play anywhere and I do not want to purchase a disc! I am holding off with my preorder till I have verification that I am buying the digital ultimate version. I will purchase as soon as I know for sure I am making the correct purchase.
If I understand correctly the disc is an Xbox one only and the digital is play anywhere so either the picture is wrong or this is only the disc version of the Ultimate edition that I would be buying. It says it right on the cover of the game displayed in the Microsoft store.
Friendly reminder that the Ultimate Edition will most likely not cover everything that gets released post-launch.
I fully expect a number of Car Packs or Expansions that you’ll need to pay for on top of your Ultimate Edition in order to experience everything the game will have to offer.
Just pre-emptying the comments I expect to see in April of 2018
