UI - DLSS automatic change to FSR or disappeared in settings (1608291)

Hi !

Try to manually Download the newest Nvidia DLSS files and copy them into the game folder.
DLSS is available again for me now. I dont tested it for a longer period. May you can give it a try tho…

DLSS dll : NVIDIA DLSS DLL 3.5.0 Download | TechPowerUp
DLSS FrameGeneration dll: NVIDIA DLSS 3 Frame Generation DLL 3.5.0 Download | TechPowerUp

Edit: I does not work. FSR is coming back when u change something on the graphics. This is just stuupid

Bump! I don’t plan on buying FM8 but that sounds like a TERRIBLE issue, and should be resolved asap.

Bump! Same problem with new NVIDIA Drivers; on a EVGA FTW3 ULTRA 3080. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Yeah, my DLSS worked when I first booted the game for the first time and since then it has been FSR 2.0. Ryzen 5800x3d and Asus Tuf 4080

Seems to always happen after tuning car

I tested that now several times and i have much better FPS when i can use DLSS. After the game itself switch to FSR…the FPS are much lower and the game also tend to stutter a little bit.

This is a really bad bug which needs an update asap !

I’ve tried the latest GeFORCE driver (537.58), but it doesn’t fix it.

The problem appears to be twofold: One is that DLSS is showing up properly in the settings menu, and switching DLSS on and off doesn’t change the FPS that much. (DLSS doesn’t work in the first place?)
Does that mean that if you open the tuning screen or the car paint screen and then start the race, the FPS drops significantly? (Regardless of DLSS?)

It is highly likely to be a bug in the game because restarting the game fixes it and updating the driver has no effect.

I hope Turn 10 can catch the problem and fix it soon.

It’s recommended that if you make a graphics settings change that you restart the game for it to properly work.

Just had this same issue after upgrading/tuning post race - no more DLSS or DLAA option, but FSR 2.0 now shows up. The weirdest thing though, is when I go to run the video benchmark, it still lists my settings with DLAA on.

Honestly, kind of feels like a symptom of DLSS not being implemented correctly in the first place - DLAA was always smoother and higher FPS somehow.

Has anyone tried changing the graphics settings through GeForce Experience’s optimize setting? Mine still shows up as DLAA enabled there, but my game is running pretty smoothly since it broke so I don’t really want to touch it myself

same issue here.

Letting Experience optimize settings is not always the best choice believe me. Its better to setup your graphic settings manually in the options. That counts for the most games.

did some more testing and for me the problem is DLAA , getting wierd flickerig and then crashes back to AMD FSR . Now playing with Ultra settings 60fps with Quality Mode DLLS . No problems . 9900K , DDR4 , 3080ti .

ok never mind what i said last post . i just started game , went to my cars and saw a flicker and knew it reverted back to AMD FSR. we need updates fast to fix this mess .

FPS drops consistently occur after editing a car, regardless of the car or track selected, even when DLSS and RT are completely disabled.

Having the same problem when I had DLAA enabled where it would disappear from the menu and show FSR. When playing with the settings it appears, like others have mentioned, DLSS is not fully implemented. When dropping it down to Balanced it is only about 5 FPS better than OFF. Most games show a much higher FPS boost from DLSS.

It is also strange that FSR is not always shown in the menu since that tech should work on all GPUs (AMD, Nvidia, or Intel)

Also seems to be a strange flickering issue after a few races with DLSS on

I updated to the latest Nvidia driver (537.58) and now I have no DLSS option in the settings. Only FSR, why?
