Tyres are a joke… Softs = Pointless, mediums = meh, Hards =utterly useless…
youve introduced pits and stopping in them so why is it that a set of mediums can out last hard tyres ?.. and how on earth did you think a set of softs lasting 2 laps was a great idea?
you cant gain the time advantage on softs to be able to pit and exit in time mediums are just to go to but really do suck as bad as the hards…
hards I’ve tried 1x and they didn’t even manage a full race distance and the lack of grip vs durability is just well… why bother… This really needs looking into as in a private lobby the only tyre that you need is softs and they manage 6+ laps with ease…

I think you may need to try a few different strategies on a few different vehicles and tracks.
IE: a Medium Length GT Race at Road America (with a light weighted vehicle) can go Hard Tires and No Pit Stop easily. This gains nearly 15 seconds over any 1 stop pit strategy.
Depending on the class, vehicle, and track, you can also go a Medium - Soft strategy commonly on other medium length tracks.
Tire wear depends greatly on the weight of the vehicle, how you are driving it, and how much abuse the tires are receiving. Even driving over curbs wears the tires quicker than just being on the track.
Of course this is going to vary greatly between all variables, and just as it does in real life, it will take time and lots of practive to recognize wear patterns and strategies.
The only current issue I see right now with tires, which can be a joke, is the inability to add a wear multiplier in Private Lobbies. As of right now, it is similar to Single Player, and tires will take 30 minutes of hard racing before they wear half way. That in itself is a joke for sure.
