Yeah that’s how I got it running eventually, but I’m lazy, and that along with my pc is prone to having senior moments “it is very old” i found sim dash a lot easier to create on, so I switched to that, top marks for getting a nice dash running on simhub it’s far superior to what I came up with.
They could also add laps driven to the HUD if driving a time race.
Yeah I play about 2ft from my 4k display, I don’t need massive UI elements on screen, they can be smaller, you can fit some of the telemetry on there!
Let me see my fuel % and tire % without covering the middle of my screen and hiding everything else…
I just made this in Simhub and I’m disproportionately proud of it because it stressed my smooth brain out learning how to make lines do things.
I’ll never forget when T10 LoungeToy (Esaki?) said:
“…getting any HUD or UI changes is actually the most difficult thing for us…”
eRacing hobbyists have been making custom HUDs & UIs for many years, so it’s difficult for me to believe that it’s “the most difficult thing” for a triple-A game company to do it after they’ve been working on the same series for 20 years.
Without a doubt one of those “so easy a cave man could do it” things. Because I’m the caveman in this example.
Looks like I missed out on an opportunity for a lucrative 18 month contract. Smh
Not necessarily easy for a layperson, but should be among the lowest-hanging fruits for any game company.
And congrats on that HUD work. You’ve officially updated your game more in the last 6 weeks than t10 has. ![]()
Hahahaha… I am simultaneously honored and depressed… ![]()
