Turn 10 -Driveatars need to be fixed-asap!

Thank you for the acknowledgement of this issue.

I’m pretty sure it’s due to the game ensuring a few friends appear as the driveatars regardless of skill level. I’ve added more lower skilled “friends” and noticed this has helped. If someone low skilled has very fast friends it would seem the game will stick around 20 random low skilled (if drivatar difficulty set to low) but still fill the grid with high skill for remaining 2 or 3. It would be better for the game to cap opponents in line with their skill regardless of whether this feels the grid with random driveatars.

After adding more friends I am not now getting my fastest friends in lower skill levels so this definitely helps

My friends list hasn’t made the slightest difference to me, regardless of friends being faster or slower there is always one random that’s over a 1/4 a lap in front of me and the rest of the Pack, sometimes and slower friend sometimes an unknown.

It’s as if one drivatar slips though from unbeatable into my expert or pro level regardless of his real life skill set.

Example my daughter players from time to time and she’s very slow yet her drivatar was nearly 1/2 a lap ahead of the rest of the Pack and about 1/4 ahead of me there was no way I could catch it up, there always seems to be one given superpowers.

The rest of the Pack at expert / pro ( track depending) are brilliant all closely matched to my skill set which makes from some good racing they even seem to race each other which is well cool.

I just started playing yesterday and put Drivatars on Inexperienced and right away there is a “white rabbit”, just like the 1 racer in RC Pro Am. Restart after restart, I could not catch this racer. His lap times on Lime Rock were in the 1’06 range, while the rest are putting up 1:15, I was at 1:09. I finally dropped the difficulty on Easy and it refreshed the Drivatar list, that white rabbit was now gone.

So I guess for now, if you notice the 1 white rabbit, pause and check the name of that Drivatar. Restart the race, change the difficulty to refresh the starting grid and make sure that name is not listed.

Someone on here said if you set it to “offline” the drivatars disappear and it is much better. Any truth to this? Is it as simple as unplugging the network cable from the XBox one? Finally (and most important) does M ROSSI COME BACK!!!?

I miss M Rossi.

Me too :frowning: - and all the other guys/gals too.

I am currently playing on PRO difficulty. I am a long time Forza racer and consider myself to be pretty good. I have noticed that the leading AI/Drivatar is FAR superior to all others. Some races I can catch him, and other times it is impossible.

What prompt me to make this post was the last race I just had at Mount Panorama. This time would place him #36 in the world on the Top Scores Leaderboard if it were an actual player. This isn’t even on the highest difficulty setting…

I too am racing on Pro and like you it seems to be terribly inconsistent. Out of 5 races I might have 2 where early(usually mid-end 1st lap) I become the lone car that no one can catch then the other 3 once I land in 2nd I might as well not even try. It’s very hard to judge what difficulty I should be playing.

I too have seen the random super hero car where it’s as if he has a nice button labeled NO2. One instance that sticks out in my memory was the last lap on Road America at the right bend at turn 11. The leader was about 3 seconds ahead of me and did not execute properly resulting in him touching the grass and slamming into the left barrier wall. I cut that bend properly, guessing conservatively I had a 30mph advantage and as I steamed toward him, not only was he able to quickly match my speed on the straight but had begun to pull away. At the speed I was going I should have been able to close that 3sec game near instantly and either blow right by him or slam into his rear sending both of our cars spinning. Instead he managed to get back to about a 3second lead prior to reaching T12 and if I recall correctly he managed a 7 second victory despite me executing good and perfect turns from 12 though 14.

I’ve noticed that the worst case of this happening is usually on Mt. Panorama, at least it is for me

I just spent the day playing and I have run into this problem on every race I didn’t manage to win outright. In races where I came in 2nd or 3rd, the #1 car was always 1/4 to 1/2 of a lap ahead of the next two cars.

This is why you only have to finish top 3. I play on “pro” or “unbeatable”, because I’d rather have a super-exciting race and finish 2nd or 3rd than set the drivatars to “expert” and beat the field by 25 seconds. The latter is simply less engaging.

With the “top 3” goal, I can have that exciting, close 2nd place finish and move on, instead of running the boring race just to guarantee a 1st-place finish.

I’ve also experimented and definitely noticed the “breakaway” driver is not adhering to the drivatar difficulty setting. If i play on “New Driver” , i might end up #2 and will be far ahead of the “pack” , while the #1 is in turn far ahead of me. If i turn the difficulty up to say “Above Average” or “Experienced” , the entire “pack” moves up a notch, so instead of beating the pack by far, it is now a pretty tight race, but the “breakway” driver is still the exact same seconds ahead.

If i look at the lap times, you can see the #1 driver got almost the exact same times regardless of what my difficulty was.

This is why i think players who are really good and play on “Pro”/“Unbeatable” will not notice this much, since the “breakaway” driver is in fact that difficulty and he’ll probably be close to them.

It is also alot more noticable on the 2nd set of series events (the nightfall / daybreak series) in career, where the #1 fastest laps are faster than anyone in the leaderboards of the region i am seeing, and then i was playing on “New Player” or “Inexperienced” !

My main pet peeve however is , sometimes it is 2 drivers that is not adhering to the difficulty setting, so then i am always on the brink of failing the entire race (i.e. coming in 4th, and never even seeing the #1/#2 drivers ).

Career mode is already extremely linear to begin with, with zero options to fool around, you are forced to finish 3rd every time or repeat the same race indefinitely. I still think Forza Horizon 2 got a better setup where each series are about getting points each race , so one race you can be 5th, another 1st, and you can still progress . That would make this particular issue alot less aggravating, because i can at least progress to the next race, and hope the “breakway” driver is not the same driver every race (i.e. he might be 1st one race, and next race crash out, giving me a chance to finish the series).

Fora 6 is a good game but the Computer opponents are very hard even on easy you can not catch up on first place I like to win a race forza please fix or update as I paid a lot for the game
