Don’t know if GT& still has it but I remember making rally tracks for my subaru ,and mitsibishi was quite fun.
I don’t think track creation is possible for FM, because it could cause a big problem! Let me explain: so, if we get to make any track we want, I’m sure that some people will try to create real world tracks, well that is good because we can get a lot of tracks! But… none of those tracks will be exactly like the real world.
Also, forza motorsport must be a simulation racer, not an arcade or even a sim-cade!!! So every single thing needs to be as close to reality as possible!!!
Although, there is one solution: limit track creation to fantasy tracks only and don’t let players create IRL tracks.
This would be insanely cool! There are so many awesome tracks created in horizon. This feature would change the game for Motorsport.
This is an excellent idea!
I don’t think EventLab-style track creation tools for Forza Motorsport are possible. It wouldn’t work in this type of environment we have currently, while making entire maps from scratch would require a large dedicated team to develop that feature and maintain it. I’m afraid T10 can’t afford it.
However, there are other means of track creation, simpler and better fitted for Forza Motorsport’s theme. We could just have tool for placing cons around the track, so that we were able to create AutoCross-style events (driving between cons with checkpoints).
They could be placed anywhere between bands. One could even make a rallycross-style event, using grass and sand traps. There could also be an alternative mode where we need to run over cons, similar to bowling challenges from previous Forza Motorsport installments.
I think creating simpler editor like this is within T10’s reach, and even that would give the game immense replay value. And it would be quite a unique feature
Polyphony Digital ditched any track creation tools after Gran Turismo 6.
I would like to have my local MSR track, but this is a very low to no priority.
Do you have any plans to create a track designer?
Similar to what the Halo team did with Forge.
Regards,
But i want advanced tools (like halo forge & UEFN), you know, keep things professional.
Best way to address the monotony of not having enough tracks/waiting for months for more tracks: give us a track creation tool in the game.
Gran Turismo 6 had this on PS3 (albeit quite a basic one) where you could share tracks. I asked for this a long while back when giving feedback after development had finished on FM7.
Honestly, real tracks are great but the drip-feed of new tracks is killing the experience for many. Horizon has it’s own thing going on, but it feels like FM has less features and less tracks than in the past, when I love this series and want it to do well!
So Turn 10 pleeaaaseeeee give us a track creator! Such a community focused idea…
A track creator by implementing props for trees, grandstands, tire barriers, lakes, bridges, billboards, etc.
And just like in FH5, T10 can choose the best original track designs and feature them in a community tour/series. This would drastically expand the game’s appeal!
I talk about this all the time would be useful for the drifting community to be able to make zone markers and open up walls to make new sections and tracks to drift. Just the ability to edit exciting tracks
What they could offer, and which wouldn’t be bad at all:
It’s a “track editor” option or mode that would allow players to shape the track scenery as they wish.
For example: remove balloons/add balloons,
Remove fake branded tents and marquees/choose fake branded tents and marquees,
Replace one decorative element with another (replace a marquee with vehicles or camper vans),
Leave the track free of any fake decorations,
…,
…
A bit like Forza Horizon 5 in some ways.
With how much effort went into expanding Horizon’s event lab before the launch of Motorsport, I was hoping to see a version of it follow over into Motorsport.
It was definitely ambitious thinking looking back, but I imagined some tracks having alternate prop layouts for different disciplines of racing.
Tire walls on the apex of turns to avoid excessive cutting in slower cars like at Goodwood, or larger runoffs with larger track limits in Trans-am racing. On the extreme end, I pictured ramps for the stadium super truck racing we had back in Motorsport 7.
A full track creator where you design your own track shape would be incredible to have, but even just an event lab style feature that allows for some prop placement (within reason) would be sick. Nothing insane like the 40ft ramps in Horizon, but some cones to set-up a custom autocross course, or some tire walls to place a custom chicane somewhere on the track.
A Forza version of Gran Turismo 6’s track path editor would be the ideal addition to the game, but with better building tools. The game would go from having its current track list to having 1000+ tracks after a single week.
It would be really cool if it was a Gran Turismo 5-6 style track editor.
You can create any trajectory, height difference and choose the style of the track (For example, choose the visual of Fujimi Kaido, that is, Japanese mountain roads).
In this case we wouldn’t have to wait for any tracks if we can make them ourselves
