Today's Message about Endurance Races just hurt

It makes a bit of a difference but not a substantial amount. The way the game displays it though is deliberately intended to make it appear as though your amazing driving is getting you up the levels much quicker. Basically, it’s an anti-player construct designed to make you put hours into the game.

One thing I noticed pretty early on was that cornering scores probably just… Didn’t matter? Whether you string together a bunch of corners at a +9.0 score or just completely miss a bunch of corners, it feels like the same amount was gained. I’m pretty sure getting the “+250 CXP” practice lap time bonus doesn’t actually do anything either (unless I’m misremembering it as CR or XP)

I remember someone on the forum claiming there was a range to the points rewarded. I’m paraphrasing, but imagine if you got a 9.1 to a 9.4 on a corner. You would get 9 car XP. If you got a 9.5 and up on a corner, you’d get 10 car XP… Something like that. So, you can drive just good enough to stay above 9.4, and you would get 10 CXP per section or corner during a race.

My numbers are off, and the point was, you didn’t get a specific amount of CXP for scoring a 9.1. So, you are right in feeling like it doesn’t matter. Also, there is a minimum that the game will give you, even if you get the corner or section all kinds of wrong. You could be sliding upside down on your roof, and the game would probably give you participation CXP.

I believe that was Jezza (maybe), and it was more distance related than anything else. He ran 2 races at Spa, in identical cars starting at level 1. One race he pushed for 1st place, the other he lagged behind at the back of the pack. He screen shot when he hit a certain level (10 I think, I could be wrong). He was at the exact same spot on the track, no matter what.

Point was, if you don’t drive like a complete tool, you hit the levels no matter what else is going on on track. Rivals or race, didn’t matter at all.

Oh, and the CXP was either 25 or 50, sometimes you got 50 for a 8.0, sometimes you got 25. No clue on what triggered the difference.

Precisely. It makes next to no difference versus just driving laps poorly
