I am wondering, where you hide the bass in the engine sounds of Forza 5???
In Forza 4 we had brute engine sounds, heavy on bass, and now?
Too I miss misfiring of engines, no matter, wether the misfiring of GTs or f.e. Indycars, or what ever cars.
BTW Indycars should be made of two different main mid frequencies, separated by an octave. Its not only one mid frequency.
Second thing is, where is the “breathing” (of the Turbos) of the Indycar engine?
Listen to the incar Sounds of the last Race in Birmingham! You will hear what I am talking of.
Normally racecarsounds are roaring, in Forza 5 everything, what made the sounds mighty and full isn’t there any more.
Will it come back or will it stay girlie/grama like?
Oops… Nobody else interested in great engine sounds?!
I am very surprised, because until F4 this racing simulation stood for hammer good engine sounds.
Now Turn 10 made a step backwards into direction Grand Tourismo, and nobody has words for this step back.
However…
Agreed; the exhaust notes sound a little less enthusiastic (especially the 500 Abarth–I own one, it sounds way more nasty than in the game; maybe the U.S. model sounds different). I have noticed that when I fiddled around with the bass, midrange, and treble on my surround sound system, there was a slight improvement. Turning the volume up helps as well.
