The ability to put branded tire stickers like Michelin on to our race cars
As someone who loves white walls, tire lettering, red lines (FH3/FH5 Hotwheels tires) etc. I think it’s time we stop having tire design correlated to the tire compound & performance. Any car you want, on any compound you want should be able to have any tire design you want without hindering your car’s performance by keeping you stuck having to choose an inferior compound for the sake of white walls or tire lettering.
Ideally T10 should consider moving tire design into the visual customization section & there’d be options for full sized walls, thinner white stripes, tire lettering (perhaps even allowing us to write what we want in the letters) etc for any compound then followed by the ability to go into paint mode & make them whatever color you want, to match with whatever exterior color you have. Tire designs are purely visual in real life, so it would be nice to keep it that way in game too please!
I hate having to remove whitewalls from my favorite classic cars if I want them to be remotely competitive. Some cars also look great with the redline Hot Wheels tires, or Forza tire lettering, but it’s often not the best compound for the cars I want to use them on. I’m sure I’m not the only one, who struggles with this, so please consider separating the two categories, and giving us more customization options, it would make for a great increase in player freedom and customization options!

Me too, but that would complicate things with licensing. Being able to put Michelin tire lettering on a poor performing tire compound might not be something the brand wants, as it may give them a bad look. Old Xbox-era Forza games did have branded tires though rather than just generic compound names.
It wont be a problem if they brand like street tires, sport tires and pefornace tires, since real life tire brands have tires like that

That’s a good point! Licensing is complicated, so I’m still unsure how that would work. But I’d love to see vintage aggressive Firestone lettering for classic muscle cars, it’s such an iconic look! Same goes for Goodyear/Michelin lettering on race cars!
Ok cool. So not only did they not add the option of adding tire designs separately, but now you can’t even add them at all…No tire lettering, no redline, no white walls (no too surprising), nothing.

Not sure what has been more annoying, Horizon’s issue of having to put vintage race tires or forza tires on your car for the look you want, but then having to deal with a huge PI bump which makes almost every car a handling build in any class lower than S. OR this game’s brilliant fix of…not giving us the option at all.
With the amount of different brands that have tire lettering and cars that have those, it bothers me that we still can’t customize that aspect of the cars. Even the tire painting options we had in previous Forza games are gone. I wish we had at least a tire lettering/painting selection, though a full on decal editor would be even better. I’ve also realized that in the announcement trailer that the Apollos have Prorata (Forza’s fictional tire brand) tire lettering, so it would be cool to have these as well.

Adding to that, like i said in my post, you can spot Prorata racing wheels in the announcement trailer with the Apollo IEs. It would be cool if they added those as well, and certainly wouldn’t cause licensing issues, as it’s Forza’s own fictional brand.

I just feel like regardless on if it’s a motorsport or horizon game, we should have the ability to at least have the same customization options. Like for intense the Horizon Racing Tire Compound, like I don’t see why it’s not in the game regardless on the title. They still have horizon editions cars in motorsport with the title horizon on the tires, and that goes for tire lettering, they already lost the nascar rights, so we don’t have goodyear tires which kind of makes its boring for people that want nascar options and stuff for other cars. And adding Front And Back Track Width,
For the tires would be cool with me to be honest. So in my opinion instead of trying to add body kits which breaks the game here and there and minor stuff that’s boring and not use full in any way, make the game a little more customizable for people to have that experience.

Something I just noticed and went to look for, is if the wet tire model had treads, and it does. Following same logic of this detail, if they add any kind of tire customization that allows for this (like fixed branded tire lettering), they could also make tire compound coloring.

I would love to have the option to change the tyre brand like in Project cars 3.
Having like Michelin , Continental, Pirelli, Hankook, toyotires, Bridgestone , GoodYear etc.
This feature would available on changing tyre to racing tyre only and only a cosmetic feature.
I really, really hope we get to customize the appearance of our tires. I would like to see tire textures from Michelin, Pirelli, Bridgestone and Continental, that we can use on any car in the game.
