Thustmaster TMX Pro

Hi guys,
Really disappointed with this wheel, I’m on a pension now and it has taken me some time to save up for it. Despite all the hipe about Xbox One compatibility it will not show up in the settings menu but also in the game it only shows as a generic wheel which of course limits its configuration options, I have followed all the suggestions on the forum plus Xbox one support as of yet after 7 days I still have no help from Thrustmaster.
Has anyone else meet a dead end with this wheel? or maybe I should return it to Amazon and get another one… Perhaps some of you guy could give me some advise as I’m afraid with being a member of the Over The Hill Club (over 65) I am not really computer or Xbox savvy.
Regards Nigel

Have you tried the wheel in the game at all? My TX, with the shifter and Pro pedals does not show anywhere in the Xbox One settings, or the game. That is unless you go to Controller in the Options menu and press X for Advanced Settings. That is where you make the wheel specific settings choices, like DOR, FFB settings, and Deadzones.

Hi, and thanks for the reply. Yes it does work in the game and Ive just done as you suggested and tried the advanced setting page so thanks for the advice, my original problem was the force feed back was very strong and although I have just tried to adjust the setting it doesn’t seem to make any difference. The wheel seems very notchey and jerks when going around corners plus also when starting from a standing start the wheel pulls to the right even at high speed the force needed to turn the wheel is very strong.

Do you use sim or normal steering? (you can find this option in the pre-race screen under assists) Sim is normally for players using a wheel, but you can try using normal steering and see if this will work for you. Or you can try adjusting the deadzones some more as latotheX mentioned.

I’m pretty sure that “SIM Steering” is not for a wheel.
At least in Forza 4, There was a write up about sim steering

Using a racing wheel in Forza 6 is not the best.
A Controller is better.

I’ve always used a wheel since the beginning of the 1st Forza on the old original Xbox

I also am over 65 and enjoy racing in Forza until I started racing Forza 6. I didn’t race Forza 5.

I remember reading that also, back when it was introduced. I know that I hate it myself with a wheel.

I an NOT 65, but I will be in another month.

Set all the Inside Deadzones to 0 and the Outside to100. FFB Strength to 70 and Vibration to 40 and start from there. Also, just checking, make sure you do not have the Assisted Steering option turned ON in the Assists Menu.

Make sure you have the latest firmware in your wheel. Update is possible done via pc.
