Thrustmaster TX wheel stopped working during today's update

Folks,

My TX wheel has stopped working since today’s update. I can’t remember if it started up properly as I powered up the XB1, but certainly on power cycling after the update the wheel is notchy, not centering properly and not operating in race correctly.

Also I plugged it into my PC and it’s not recognising it properly.

I’ve had 2.5 months of faultless operation from the TX, but I wonder if the base unit is fried.

Anyone else had something like this?

Cheers

N

Pretty much the same thing that happened to me about a week ago. Check out the thread I made on this issue here: http://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst3780_Thrustmaster-TX-Not-Working-After-Xbox-One-Update--Not-Due-to-Problems-with-the-Update.aspx

You’ll probably need to work with Thrustmaster support to get your wheel base replaced.

Yep. I saw that just after I posted my message. It’s the FFB motor that’s not calibrating properly on startup and flickering during use.

Time to call Thrustmaster support for a new wheelbase.

I was hoping I had a good base unit as it’s been perfect for the last 2 and half months. Hope the new one will be okay!

I went back to playing with the controller this evening having not used it since Christmas - boy it feels weird not having the lateral weight shift translated back to you through the wheel.
