I’ve had my Thrustmaster TX attached to a Playseat Challenge. I stored the rig over the weekend and pulled it back out tonight to enjoy some FH2. I went through the procedure that I’ve followed everytime before. Tonight, the wheel calibrated fine and then it is only responsive for about five seconds. I’ve tried everything I can think of. Reset the USB ports, etc. Every time, same exact thing. Wheel calibrated, D pad and buttons on wheel are functional for five seconds and then nothing. Anybody else experiencing this? Any ideas?
I highly recommend that before you attempt any suggestions (beyond what you’ve already done), you contact Thrustmaster for troubleshooting. Your wheel should still be under warranty and there is no reason to risk voiding that by trying anything that might be consider beyond what you are to do as the end user.
Sorry to say that mine died a sad death just after I got to the Festival then won the Yellow wrist band! I then spent a week going through the resetting, etc. procedure with Thrustmaster in France, I live in the UK, via their Help Line. In the end, my wheel is on its way back to France in a USP shipment as I type. This has given me great hope that it will be returned in full working order someday. Strange tho’, it has made me use a Xbox One/Xbox Controller for the very first time and after a slog I have won the First Championship. My advice, try to get it back to where it can be repaired/reset and get the controller out 'til it comes back and enjoy.
In the hardware thread, this has happened to a few people now.
Just got off the phone with Thrustmaster support. I hooked the wheel up to my pc and accessed it through the control panel. Wheel works flawlessly. Everything registers as it should. Issue is with Xbone. The only thing I’ve done since I last played was create a profile for my girlfriend so she could play Dance Central. Deleting her profile to see if this resolves the matter.
Went to the Xbone to delete the girlfriend’s profile and decided to give the wheel another shot before doing so. It worked with no issues. I guess plugging the wheel into the pc and testing it through the Thrustmaster Control Panel somehow reset it. Back to having fun with the game!
