Thrustmaster TX Wheel loses force feedback

After updating yesterday I experienced exactly the same. However, after increasing the value for understeer in the advanced settings the feeling for it came back. Much weaker than before the firmware update, but maybe much more realistic after all. I tried a few 10 lap races yesterday and FFB was consistent.

In the end I am pretty relieved and happy that it’s working now, Forza 7 seems to be a really awesome game. The addresse a lot of issues I (personally) had with Forza in this game, and so far it really seems absolutely awesome.

Don’t install v51 if you play PC2, there’s an issue there.
I’ve not noticed any bugs on the OneX, just that I can’t quite get the settings right.

If somebody loose ffb, pause game, go to Thrustmaster driver, test ffb strong, close driver ang go to race. Eventually start race/Forza again. Works for me.

This is wheel fade from the tx overheating. Run ffb lower and set fan to always on mode and make best effort to keep wheel cool, if you can play in a cooler room/window open etc try that and see if it helps.

Can we PLEASE get away from the TX overheating excuse. It is NOT overheating! This happened to me in the past and simply unplugging and replugging in USB would always fix it! This is NOT overheating behavior, the wheel fan sounding like a fan jet would be the first clue followed by wheel shutdown in firmware versions past the original. This does not happen in any game EXCEPT Forza 7 and didn’t happen in Foza 6 either. I do a lot of enurance racing and my old and tired TX never loses FFB EXCEPT in F7.

Correct, definitely no problem with overheating. I have two Thrustmaster tx setups in room with 20C, fresh cold air from our wintertime and in Horizon or FM6 4-5 hours setions no problem. In FM6 is the understeer loss of FFB counter-push clearly noticeable. In FM7 is effect for Thrustmaster TX already 2-3 months gone and with the understeer slider you can only quantify some sort of weak vibration by understeer.

On third rig with Fanatac V2.5 is the loss of the FFB push by understeer every time present and feels fantastic so in FM7 as FM6. It must be a bug there for combination Thrustmaster TX (any wheel add-on) + FM7

By sure not only I would be so glad when can be find how to solve this malfunction of understeer FBB

Happened to me in every other sim i played when i had the tx, forza, pcars (on both pc and xbox), r3e, dirt rally, iracing… which is why i got rid of the tx. Fine for about 10 min then it fades. Yes unplugging it would solve the issue temporarily because it is resetting the memory. Then once the thermometer catches back up the fade happens again. It takes about 10 min unless you run at really low power.

Then you simply had a bad servo base. Did you try talking to customer support? For me they’ve always been excellent on support no matter what the problem. TX overheating does exactly what I said it does except for the first release and even then the fan goes on high and you will certainly know this! BTW my FFB is always 100% sometimes 12-14 hours at a time during long endurance races. I have a very early TX wheel and it works like new and since the last big Forza 7 update FFB has been better, not as good as other sims, but better than before.

Hi there. I´m a Portugueses gamer that bought a nem wheel Thrustmaster TS-XW Racer SPARCO P310. In the bigining it as alright, but no i have no force feedback what so ever. In fact i did an update on the PC, but i only use the wheel on xbox one, considering tha i hava a laptop, só it just doesn´t have de capacity for the game to run ok. I honestly don´t remenber if i lost the force feedback, before or after the software update, but it was around the same week. I have tried everithing e see on the net, reset usb concetions etc, etc and nothing seams to work. Could any of you please give me some sugestions, because other wise i will have to take the wheel to the store where it was bought , which is not a good idea because they always put their people fixing things (they are not realy qualify for that). Thank you for everything.

This is/was a common issue with them so I’m not sure why you are basically claiming it doesn’t happen. Just by doing a small search you will see various fan mods and cooling methods to try and improve this. Something may have been done in the firmware to lessen this recently, (havent had my tx in almost 2 years) but this was a real issue. In terms of forza ffb, it couldn’t get any worse.

Hey guys, I have a bit of a problem with my Thrust Master TX racing wheel as well. When I plugged the wheel into my Xbox, the mode light is the only thing that comes on. The wheel makes a slight movement as if it is going to calibrate itself but it fails to do so. The light above the Xbox symbol does not turn on and the only functional button that works is the Xbox button itself. I updated the wheel to the latest firmware in hopes that it would fix a calibration issue that the wheel was facing previously where the wheel would spin slowly in different directions, only to pick up speed and slam really hard into the restrictor. However, now that I updated it, the wheel does nothing besides turn on the mode light. Please if anybody knows how to fix this issue It would be greatly appreciated.

Did you update using a new usb 3.0? Try updating again using a regular usb.

Hey, Im not too sure, but I think I already did that because all I did was take my steering wheel and plugged it into the side of my laptop and updated it through the drivers that Thrustmaster makes you download for the wheel.

Is the port blue or white?

The USB port that is on the side of my laptop has no color on it. It is just a plane Jane USB port. I don’t see a blue port anywhere on the computer either. Could it be something to do with a sensor that is inside the wheel?

This has just happened to me aswell. Thought my wheel packed in, did a test race afterwards and FFB is back.

Turn 10 can you look into this?
