This is my second thread as the first one got no response, I’ve also opened a support ticket with no response. This is getting extremely frustrating. I’m having problems with my Thrustmaster TX wheel on horizon 4 on Xbox one S. Whenever I loose traction or try to do a drift and correct it, the wheel jerks the opposite way uncontrollably. Almost like the force feedback turns off. Also if I’m driving in a straight line and flick the wheel to either direction, it starts rotating back and forth uncontrollably until I grab it again or stop the car. Turning down/off the force feed back helps a little bit, but then it defeats the purpose of having a force feedback wheel and I feel like I’m not controlling anything. If I turn the wheel angle down it helps a bit but then it makes the wheel very heavy and hard to turn. Turning the wheel dampening down only makes the force feedback problem worse. I updated the wheel to its latest firmware last night. The wheel worked perfectly on Horizon 3 so I’m just confused why I’m having so many issues now. Please help. Thank you!
I think your wheel might be clipping, that was my problem at least. If you have your strength to high hitting things like gutters or just under steer will make the wheel clip and FFB die and go all gooey. Have a try with my settings and just add dampening to taste.

Make sure yous have vibration off. Forza Horizon 4 LP EP13 - FIRST Thrustmaster TX Drifting + Wheel Settings | SLAPTrain - YouTube
Got my settings almost at a Assetto Corsa level on a T300 @ 900 on PC.
Vibration- 0 (make sure this is off!)
FFB - 55 (change for overall strength, lighter will feel better in corners and should stop wheel clipping)
Center - 0 (does nothing)
Wheel Damp - 0 (add to taste)
FFB Under - 0 (this also does nothing and is always on?)
FFB MF - 100
Wheel Sensitivity - 0 (PC only setting, setting this to 0 will match wheels rotation setting)
Thanks but that didn’t help. Still is impossible to correct a slide and I just end up getting thrown off the road due to the force feedback. I definitely think it’s a forza issue because my wheel works great on Horizon 3. Also 3 days without a response from my support ticket. Unbelievable. It’d be nice if they’d at least acknowledge their customers problems after I gave them $100 for a game I can’t play with my wheel.
FH3 was the worst FFB of any game or sim ever created. I’m starting to feel like a lot of the people complaining just don’t know how to counter steer. If your getting thrown off the road from FFB your strength is to high or your just not holding the wheel. But we have basically the same wheel and while FH4 is lacking in a few FFB aspects this ones on you.
I admit H3 didn’t have the best FFB but it was at least driveable. And I can’t help but realize that my wheel works fine on FM6 and FM7 as well. If you’re going to sit here and tell me that the thrustmaster tx feels proper on FH4 you’re being delusional. I can counter steer, but when I go to countersteer I shouldn’t loose all feeling in my wheel and get thrown off the road.

What do you mean when you counter steer you lose ffb? And by getting thrown of the road is the car griping in and snap over steering the other direction? Are you using sim steering? That would explain that, sim steering is almost as bad a joke as FH3 FFB. Also if your on xbox i would try even lower overall FFB strength because it sounds like you might still be clipping, i run 55 in game but 75% in the profiler.
But i do believe this is all user error, FH4 FFB isn’t great and can do with a whole re work but with this new self steer system it is miles better then anything they have released before. Never played FM7 after the update so can’t comment on that. I tried to get my settings as close to Assetto Corsa as possible without making to much sacrifices and i believe I’ve done that. Can lock to lock drift using nothing but feet @ 900 degrees rotation with the wheel self steering as it should, then grip racing can cut in corners and feel the limit. So there is defiantly hope for you (unless there is some sort of broken xbox setting) just make sure your not clipping and have vibration off.
