I just read an article recently about the top 9 games coming out on xbox and motorsport was also missing from that one, how is that even possible. The fact that it was a 9 game list and they couldn’t think of anything else to make it a top 10 list, that’s how forgotten this franchise has become. Turn 10 truly have squandered any chance they had at gaining any sort of hype for this game. I don’t think they could’ve done worse tbh its almost as though it’s on purpose.
To do a top 9 list when FM could easily have made it a more traditional top 10? Stuff just keeps getting weirder and weirder.
im2fast4u711: “…it’s almost as though it’s on purpose.” Yeah. It kinda does seem like that, doesn’t it? You get the feeling that people in the industry – like those that produced the list you reference – know something we don’t and FM is in much deeper trouble than we realize, and MS is trying to deflect as much away from it as possible.
When Motorsport is announced, the likes of IGN will be all over it.
I’m surprised they don’t have bots trawling the internet to find stories, like pretty much every media outlet these days. “Gamers slam X”; “I’ll never buy Y again”; “Z should be sacked” said three random people off the internet who are totally real, not bots, cos we did proper grown up due diligence like real journalists do, certainly didn’t just screenshot some trending hashtags, no siree.
It’s official, fm will not be having an appearance on this month’s forza monthly. Shocking to absolutely nobody.
Don’t confuse “more advanced” with “more powerful”.
Xbox Series X|S has tons of features, and many haven’t even been used, like machine learning (DirectML). The full feature set of RDNA2 and DirectX12 Ultimate provides excellent opportunities for optimization and functionality, but hardly any gets used by third party developers as they do not work on PS5 and some might not even work on PC. The features might also be tricky to code into the projects under development.
An easy example is hardware VRS which PS5 does not support. The Dead Space remake launched with hardware VRS exclusively on Xbox, but it was patched out and replaced with software VRS like on PS5 due to complaints of the versions not being equal in functionality.
I believe the xbox one/series OS is actually windows with a new front end thrown on it.
On paper, we have 12 TFLOPS vs 10.
In reality, which is what matters, we have a tie.
