The ZINC is not ZINC!

In case you were wondering.
The “Zinc” colour is not zinc, but Cadmium electroplating.
I am impressed they got this wrong as it is a completely different colour.
The “Galvanized” colour is actually hot dipped.
The usual Galvanizing is electroplating and results in a shinier surface.
This can be confusing since some people call it electro-galvanizing and some don’t.

They could’ve called it Ducktallic for all the difference it makes.

True
However traditional cad plating was banned almost 20 years ago due to toxins so alternative plating methods were created to produce a very similar coating for auto restoration.
Zinc Plating and Yellow Chromate gives the same finish as is one of the more common methods to recreate cad plating these days - i is actually Zinc but looks like Cad.

Some platers in some countries can still do cad but it is uncommon in most countries these days

Sorry to throw a spanner in the works
