The skill points system is bananas...

The way you can farm skill points in no time combining a HE skill car (and eventual skill song), driving like mad in the outback or banana plantations, is insane.

It devalues the thing entirely and requires no skill at all. Just circle strafe endlessly at full speed in a semi-bumpy section of the outback, in your cool Nissan GTR HE.
You can get like 10 skill points in no time.

Not that it is a particular problem gameplay wise, but it just devalues what skill is supposed to be and cheapens things a bit.

Congrats to the T10 member that thought of ‘skill songs’. It is silly (although fun of sorts).

What about skill that actually requires it ?

Indeed, the Highest Skill Chain leaderboard really is just more a question of how long you can be bothered to keep it going rather than any gauge of the players abilities. I think skill points are more of an incentive to do crazy things rather than anything to truly brag about.

If someone wants to drive circles in a field all day then let them. Skills mean nothing… neither does XP…

I don’t understand why people do this though… Is it that hard to just play the game?

I agree with you.

People do it because they can and because the game encourages grinding skill points / xp / credits by throwing big fat numbers at players all the time.
Look at how farming Goliath in HE hypercars has become popular.
Oh and you can brag about it on the interwebs after that, posting cool stats screenshot of your 6h Goliath race.

Meanwhile… I’m doing my championships in D, C or B classes in obsolete cars.

there is no point in doing a skill chain of 1 millions points if you’re only going to get 3/4 skill points in the end, wich you can get in 2 minutes doing 2 skill chains of 200k

i spent 25 minutes in the fields doing this and got a skill chain of 13.5 million points only to get 4 skill points in the end so no point in doing that again lol

i also dit the goliath race a few times for xp (mainly for the wheelspins) but yeah it becomes boring and there is no skill needed to do that

i will go back to finishing the last championships and just trying different cars! and waiting to see other players bucket list blueprints for the achievement ^^

I think if its a race then you should get appropriate xp for being podium.
