The Endgame really needs some fixes!

The endgame still needs fixes.

I finished the final 2 times (saw the endmovie after the 2nd final)

Cool.

  • So, why he is still talking about finals or becoming a star?
  • why can´t I pick the events I want and have always to make a roadtour?
  • maybe I want to stay at Saint Martin for some more cups and not have to
leave after finishing 1 cup (containing 4 races)
  • why there is no freemode like in all other Forzas, where I just pick the track I like,
put on some AI dudes and enjoy myself?

I hoped the big patch (about 600 MB) fixed that but it didn´t

I don’ know but its weird the way its set up. People are waiting for another finale since Ben’s always talking about it. I to would like to stay in the same spot and use a different car instead of driving back to the festival and starting all over again.

I agree with you, I’d also like to do the first final race again both online and solo but can’t find a way of doing it.

Doing the road trips was fun at first but now I’m getting tired of them over and over again, I’d like to stay in one area and just race.

yap guys and thats why I just can´t understand why Turn 10 / Playground do not adress this issue.

Its a great game but it feels in the end unfinished with such a strange endgame and in my case
it already killed a lot of motivation.

I love saint Martin or Nice but I always have to leave after my 4 races…

That’s the game design of Forza Horizon 2 and I don’t think that the devs will change it. Maybe for Forza Horizon 3 in two years.

But until then we have to drive these weird road trips again and again…

I think it is some bug, talking about the next finale when we have completed them both

I don’t think it’s a bug, more like… an oversight. Happens in plenty of games. Ben’s postrace lines remind me of Skyrim: in that game, street urchins, children, and other NPCs would constantly mouth off to the player, like he/she just wandered in from the wilderness. Never mind the fact you’ve beaten the main quest, saved the damn world, and are the most famous hero in the land: you’re nobody.

Ben’s lines are similar.

“The other racers are starting to talk about you!” They have nightmares about me at this point, Ben.

“You’re picking up quite the following!” I’d hope so: I’m the bloody champion, ain’t I, Ben.

“You just might secure a spot in the finale!” You mean that bigass race 2 weeks ago? Yeah, I did, Ben.

Haha epic :)).

I still have hopes that they listen to us and fix it

Maybe it’s that way intentionally and there will be an expansion pack that takes it further?

Ben talking about another finale IMO is either a bit of “laziness” or an oversight where they either forgot to remove the sound clips or record new ones where he doesn’t mention it. I do think the career structure in FH2 is inferior to the original, wristbands actually meant something in the first game as they represented different tiers for your career and the events associated with it, not to mention there was much more variety with races, FH2 keeps cars stuck to the same classes in solo mode so the same half-dozen or so cars are your only opponents in single player, i.e. a S2000 will never go up against other Japanese counterparts like Skylines, RX7s, or Supras because it is arbitrarily considered a “Track Toy”. Similarly, I feel the Corvette and Viper being considered “muscle” is a bit off because they are more refined sports cars, and certain versions can even be considered exotics.

As some people have mentioned, road trips between event hubs should eventually become optional, i.e. you can skip them out and fast travel to the next town but you may miss out on the XP. Ideally if it was anything like the original Horizon, completing the two finales should be considered the “end” of your career, as the credits roll after that - from there the four race championship road trip format should be abandoned for the ability to play in any of the races, much like how the original Horizon worked after you beat the finale in that game (if I recall, I could be wrong, career mode in FH1 allowed you to race any previous race you had competed in or unlocked regardless of your wristband type).

My other gripe is FH2’s solo mode seems to be heavily padded, there are only so many races and layouts yet they try and feed you through all 28 classes through 6 event hubs, totaling 168 championships and 672 races. Many of the championships end up being the exact same races as other ones only you are racing different types of cars, ultimately this comes off as an easy way to extend single player mode but it also comes off as tedious, especially with the road trip requirements.

EXACTLY!
You hit the bloody nail.

Yeah totally agree. Got a bit of stick for saying this when it first came out but more and more people are coming to this opinion, hope it leads to a change as I pretty much can’t stomach playing the game the way it is.

I especially find going back to the central hub annoying, the thing serves no purpose at all (with the exception of the 2 horizon title races). It just exists to artificially extend the one player element of the game. It needed some purpose beyond driving back there after 3 championships to see an incredibly underwhelming award ceremony. Think in general this game is let down a lot by the lack of freedom of choice the player gets in both one player and multiplayer.

I agree. For now I just keep going between two cites that are close to each other. Then after my 3 and I go to the festival I pick another two cities that are close. That way I’m not driving across the map for each championship.

I want to stay at Nice but the game just won´t let me :frowning:

Road trip for you buddy

I hope this a bug because there is a lot of time wasted going back to the main hub every 3 championships. I have won both finales but I am still told to keep it up for the next finale. It feels like the game is stuck in a loop.

I also agree with all of the above posts.

lmao

lets just hope T10 / Playground realizes this and fix it.

Regarding B Wald Big Mek’s Skyrim reference (which I’m not going to quote because I’m already under permanent moderation)…

“I used to secure spots in the finale like you…, but then I took an arrow in the knee.”

Ben: “That’s it! You just beat another championship, but you have to keep it up if you want to be Horizon Champion.”

Me: “But I beat the 2nd finale a LONG TIME AGO.”
