Looking for help. After winning the Horizon Finale and completing one championship the finale icon returned, meaning I have to redo the finale, has anyone else come across this problem how did you fix it.
The finale is run twice (odd, I know). Are you certain you aren’t preparing for the second run?
I have run it 3 times won it 3 times, still getting the finale icon after one championship, getting very bored
Do you get the credits every time, though? This sounds like a pretty good problem to have, if so… at least for a while 
There are 2 finales dude. You have to finish more championships to get to the 2nd finale. Sound like you are just redoing the first one over and over.
I wouldn’t mind having to do the Finale again.
Seems like you’re not saving or something strange is going on though.
After you finish the first finale, you should get another 15 championship countdown. In one “roadtrip” you go to 3 separate locations and do your set of races. After that you return to the main festival hub for the “rewards party”. Do that 5 times and it makes you race another long finale race.
After you have raced the long finale race twice, you simply continue doing road trips but it still makes you return to the main festival hub every three locations finished.
I have the same problem as the OP and it is MEGA frustrating. I’ve been playing the game on hard (bought digital deluxe edition on launch day) and have been determined to make it last. So I’ve been taking my time - put in a huge (for me) 43 hours of play time.
I completed the first finale, and then the next championship (which I chose as Saint Marten) and now I can’t progress. I need to go to Saint Marten to choose the next championship and when I get there is says that I need to go to the road trip destination to choose my next championship.
I am so upset to have invested so much time (and money) to get left stuck like this. It’s not funny 
Hmmm, so still no response. Drive club may have been a fiasco but at least the developers communicated! £85 I spent on this game! £85 !!! And it is fundamentally broken,
This is a complete disgrace! And for Turn 10 to hide behind the Internet just compounds it.
Can I get any kind of refund? I bet not.
If you were a British company Turn 10, I’d get trading Standards on to you.

First of all, the game isn’t broken, just because you haven’t figured it out.
Second, all sales are final on digital purchases and you are notified of that when making the purchase.
Third, this is a community site, so saying you’d get Standards on Turn10 because they did not respond to you here is silly. It’s like saying you got together with your buddies at the pub and complained about your Vauxhall and they didn’t step in at the pub so you want to get Standards on them. It’s silly. If you want a response from Turn10 then contact Turn10. What really seems to be the issue with this one is that you are lazy and can’t be bothered to even attempt figuring something out or looking up a solution to a problem and expect someone else to pay for your inabilities.

So, as to your actual issue. You selected Saint Martin as your location after completing the finale. Once you arrive in Saint Martin you are given four races to compete in and these appear on your map as four orange icons. Once you have completed each of these four events, you are told to return to the hub to choose the next location. To progress in the game you must return to the Saint Martin Festival Hub - the location where you can access the autoshow and garage in Saint Martin - and select the large, full screen Championship icon. This allows you to select a new location and championship. The only location you cannot select is Saint Martin - you must go to a different location.
Once you have done this at three locations, the game will ask you to return to your locations hub. From here you will select continue championship and be forced to return to the Main Festival Hub in the middle of the map for an awards ceremony. From here, you can then continue with championships again. You will find an orange icon in the road between the autoshow and the garage. Drive to this icon and press the appropriate button to “enter the event”. You will then pick your new location and continue the cycle again.
In all reality, it is not difficult to take some time and explore the game perhaps figure this out on your own. It’s not that challenging, nor is it it really hidden. The game always lights up an orange icon where it wants you to go. Another way to do this is to listen to what the game tells you to do - as annoying as they may be - Ben and Anna will always guide you where to go and help you progress in the game. If at all you are lost, you can always use the kinect by saying something along the lines of “Anna, what do I do next?”.
EDIT: Did a quick search as well, try checking some of these topics. If my suggestions have not helped you continue - reading these threads may help.
When you look at the map there should be 4 orange circle race icons around one of the six destinations. If there is not 4 icons around any of the six destinations, you must go to the main hub and start another road trip by selecting a new championship. I will remind you that the main hub is different from the other hubs in that you don’t go into the garages to select a championship. You go to the main road between the garages at the main hub and locate the spot to start a road trip.
Sometimes the servers do not save your progress correctly and you need to go back to the main hub to start another road trip. When you get to the main hub try starting another road trip and select a different location than the one you think you should have been at in the first place. This should put things back in order because it happened to me and I fixed it by selecting a different location.

Your assumption that I’m thick or lazy is offensive, but as you haven’t read my thread on this topic (I decided to use this one rather than have multiple threads for the same issue) I will forgive you for that.
My comments about turn 10 is not about the issue. games glitch I understand that. But their support is a disgrace. Click on the support icon on this website and it takes you to a page selling the game.
I have also emailed them but no response - at all.
For the record, I did everything you suggested. I return to Saint Marten to choose my next championship (as I should do) and I get the message “you can only take part in a championship at the Road Trip’s current destination”.
If I ask Anna to continue road trip, she takes me back to the finale which I have now done FOUR times to try and progress the game.
So yes, for me it is fundamentally broken. I have put 43 hours into this game, spent £85 on it. If Turn 10 would acknowledge my issue and say “we’re aware” that would mean a lot. But they just hide behind the Internet.
Hence my ire.

Wow. I hate when the forum does this. I was in the midst of writing you a response when it for some reason signed me out and the response is poofed. Here is the much abridged version.
Try these steps to see if the issue cannot be resolved.

Disconnect from wireless or go into offline mode on the console and attempt to play Forza. See if it lets your progress. Yes or No, make sure to see the save icon before quitting and wait for it to disappear. Then dashboard, select menu, and quit game. Reconnect to internet.

Hold down power button on console itself to shut off console - you may need to hold it 10-15 seconds. Once done, remove the power cord from behind for 3-4 minutes. Return power cord and boot console up using button on front. Wait for full reboot, then sign in and play Forza. See if you can progress.

DO NOT DELETE LOCAL SAVE DATA!!! DO NOT DELETE LOCAL SAVE DATA!!! But, go to Manage Game and uninstal Forza Horizon 2. You are a digital copy user, so this may take some time. Reinstall Forza Horizon 2 - it will take a long time - you must download and install the game and all updates since then. Be patient, let it finish, and do not touch the game until it is 10% complete. Go do something, this may take a few hours. Once loaded up, do not bother installing any DLC - load up Forza, see if you can progress.

Here, I suggest contacting Microsoft Support through their website and either calling or chatting with a tech online. I could offer up that you remove your local save data and re-sync your console’s data with the cloud, but that will also take time and poses other risks which really may not do anything to assist with your current issue. your issue does not sound like a game save problem, but that does not mean it cannot be such and I’m sure you know what that would entail.

And as for your links, , one refers to a completely different game (Motorsport 5) and the other has no solution. So about as helpful as a chocolate teapot. At least you bothered to respond, though.
I have also tried the other solution mentioned which is to return to the hub but I can’t do that as at the main hub only the garage, the auto show and the finale are available to select.

Fingers crossed, although I do have a horrible feeling that this is not going to be fixable :(. Let’s hope my pessimistic feeling is misjudged.

I did everything above, and none of it worked. However, after I’d done it all, I thought lets go back and do the finale one more time.
I did…and hey presto! Everything unglitched and I could progress! However, as it glitched for both me and the OP at the end of the first championship after the finale I can’t be 100% I’m good to go yet.
I’ve had to go and give some attention to the gf now so will finish off this championship tomorrow.
Weird. Something in there finally must have clicked as being finished. Now for the real question - every time you did the finale, did you get the million or so odd credits and have they really accumulated?
You will now be asked to do 15 championships, again in sets of 3 locations a piece for a total of 5 individual road trips, before doing the finale a second time. Hopefully all goes well once you get to the championship again.

Yes, I did get the credits I have about 12 million banked at the moment.
Got to take my real life car in to have a DAB fitted now, as soon as I come back I will test the championship to the end. I am so hoping this is fixed.
