OK here’s the deal. I’ve just finished (and won) the first finale, so I decided to up the difficulty (hard AI, no rewind etc). Anyway, I completed the next championship and finished second. At this point, the Horizon finale appeared on the map and I was not able to change championship. I thought this was odd but I did the finale again. The cut scenes matched those of the first finale I did after completing it.
I figured this was a one off but after completing another championship, the finale pops up AGAIN and I have to do it to continue… what’s going on?! As much as I enjoy the game I don’t fancy doing 20 minutes of driving after every championship finish.
LOL, so many folks (inluding myself) would LOVE to run the finale again. Too much of a good thing in your case, eh?

Seriously, I was doing my first X1 finale last night (on 360 you can do the finale as many times as you like and it was my favourite race to do, but it’s a shadow compared to the X1 finale) and I considered quitting the race before crossing the line so I could bring different cars to it.
Probably what I’ll do for the second run.
Please Turn 10 and Playground - after the 2nd Finale run, just leave it there for us to run like the Showcases - bump the reward down if necessary for balance, but just let us run that course whenever we want!
But yeah, back to the original issue, I have noticed T10 are somewhat more responsive on issues like this via Twitter than the void that seems to be these forums.

If I could rerun the finale repeatedly and get a million credits every time, that would be fantastic.
I just ran it again for the 3rd time and got 75,000 CR and 50,000 XP. HRZN Ben was in the pack but when I finished it I still got the same cut-scene congratulating me for my first Horizon win… I’ll finish another championship later and see what happens.
That sounds like you’re on the 360, as the ONE Ben has a different handle (“Nocomply72” I believe).
I raced “HRZN Ben” in the 2nd Finale on XB1.
Omg, been asking myself who the hell is that guy ALWAYS at the car meets; damn Ben, so annoying!

I think something has gone out of sync as I don’t get the “number or races to finale” countdown message at the end of a championship… guess the game decided to fast track the finale stuff for some reason - weird! How many times do you get to run the finale on a normal play through?
