Hey, I’m wondering if there is any reasoning behind one drivatar being so much faster than the rest of the group? As you can see in the picture he is 12 seconds faster than the other drivatars on Virginia International Raceway when running expert difficulty. He starts out front and therefore he doesnt have to pass any, making it really difficult to catch up to him when I finally get through the pack. Its not me slowing the pack down either as I managed to have a small lead on them once I got through, and he even pulls ahead when Im not at the start of the pack. As you can see his best lap time is also a seconds faster than the rest of the drivatars. The one fast lap I had was lap 8, which was too late to able to catch up to him. Any ideas?
I went through a similar situation last night. I was racing in the forza gt category, the two drivatars using the lambo gallardo were 3 seconds faster per lap than the rest of the field, the track is Maple Valley, and the difficulty is expert. It seems that the first 2 or 3 drivatars are always faster than the others. Maybe t10 release a patch to fix this.
Looking at the lap time he is just under 1 second faster on his best lap than the next fastest AI car. So I would not think he was that OP. More likely he was up front early I did not have to deal with other AI cars allowing him to get the line he wanted without contact and zip around the track easier than the others.
There are times however when the AI does have an OP car. I reported an instance the other day where on unbeatable the AI lap time was beating the #1 leaderboard time by 3 seconds on an oval. In that race the AI car was about 300hp over the limit for the division. So when you run into one of these cases you might want to look at the replay and pull up the telemetry of the car to see if it has more power than it should for the division it is in If it does then that would be the problem.
The race in question where I saw this I lowered the level to expert and was able to win but the AI car still had 100hp over the limit.
Well, I agree he was not that OP, and If I were a better and more consistent driver I would have been able to catch up. But the fact that after the first round he has gotten a 2 seconds lead on the rest of the field, makes it kinda hard to actually catch up. I do not have the replay, so I’m not able to check the telemtry. But a drivatar should not consistently be able to get a 2 second lead on the pack after one round. I did quite the few restarts so if there were any chance to catch him early in the race, but he always got that lead.
That feel when you are not getting a clean pass on the number #2, meanwhile #1 is speeding off into oblivion. On short races its extremely hard to become #1 on highest difficulty, some maps the AI behave a lot different from for example the previous track. Its annoying but i like a challenge, just hate to cheese a last corner sometimes to get #1 from an “unbeatable” AI.
Anyone else here remember M. Rossi being OP? This is nothing new to the series.
