When you find some settings that work well with your CSR please post them to this thread. I’m also working on testing settings for my CSR and will post what I come up with.
The new settings are really nice and much appreciated. Makes the wheel feel a lot more realistic. Still tweaking my settings though for the TX, thats going to take some time :). Overall I’m really happy with it though, after the first wheel update which was good don’t get me wrong, I though PG or T10 would just kinda forget about us wheel users but I’m so happy they haven’t. I’m just super glad that things are finally changing and moving forward… Thanks T10/PG!!!
Esports wont make more people use wheels. They have likely invested more time in the wheel controls because forza is on the pc and most pc racing game fans use wheels. Although im happy to see these options added theres nothing that will make me play this game anymore. Too bad they didnt add it to forza 6.
What settings are you finding work well? I’ve only messed with it a little and only on blizzard mountain so I don’t think it’s the best way to tell a good overall setting since there are so few smooth paved roads. I turned the center spring up quite a bit and it seems a lot easier to catch drifts now. Before it was a lot of guesswork.
I actually really am enjoying FH3, but I agree I wish they would add these to FM6. I imagine they will be in FM7 and I have a feeling that FM7 might be the FM4 of this generation Counsel.
I turned my center spring up to 20 but still making adjustments starting to like how it feels now thou. I have always used 540 rotation but I put it at 900 so I’m still adjusting to that as well.
I have a Fanatec V2 wheel so these settings may not work as good on all wheels but here goes
Sim steering
Steering 0 and 100
Steering linearity. 46
Accel. 0 and 100
Decel 1 and 100
Clutch and E brake as you want as I don’t use them much
Vibration scale 73
FFB scale. 54
Wheel rotation 360
FFB under steer 78
FFB min force 55
Wheel damper scale 45
Center spring scale 120
On my wheel
SENS auto
FFB. Auto
Sho 30
Abs 67
Lin, DEA, DRI …off
BrF 40
These are as of last night but I will probably adjust some more yet and if someone makes adjustments to it that work better please post so I can give them a try too, thanks
///\ keep in mind that these are flexible and very primitive settings to be used as a guide. It seems every time I start a new session the settings I had prior are being tinkered with and it seems that if I start a new session my tastes are slightly different this is why I also would like some feedback on the settings.
With this kind of game ffb settings will constantly have to be adjusted. Theres isnt going to be one perfect setting. Dor is the easiest to figure out depending on the car, but lowering dor also increases ffb strength which will effect what you thought felt good before.
Also your style of play will dictate what sort of ffb works best, like if youre racing or drifting or just messing around. Maybe in a future update they could add a few ffb save slots.
Very true but I am so pleased that they added these sliders! This is making the game so much more customizable for so many people! I expect this also to be included in Forza 7 next fall and that thrills me so much! Great move by Turn 10!!! I bought both competitors sim racing games this year to get to feel better FFB and this I think will even the playing field in that area. Forza had them beat in every area but this and this will really close up the gap in The only area they were not equal in. So happy for this.
Im sure these options will be in forza 7 and im also glad they are finally showing wheel users some love. But, theres always a but with these games lol, theres still alot of work to be done with the ffb. It wont ever be as good as a game like assetto corsa, because there’s just too many cars.
But what they can aim for is more intricate canned effects like dirt rally and saveable per car ffb like project cars. They also need to add an fov slider because it can make a huge difference for both wheels and controllers alike. I kind of hate the fact that they didnt add these sliders to forza 6, after all the posts people made, its amazing how much of a difference just adding these sliders made.
Awesome feedback! I’m still new to wheel racing and FH3 so I’m just trying to get some drive time right now. I did notice that the FFB makes things very challenging, especially when you break traction. Some of the feedback seems to be over exaggerated as well, especially at slower speeds. Taking some getting used to on the wheel rotation as well, not bad for high speed stuff but on the slower turns I find myself not turning enough. All things I can get used to and probably tweak settings with. The only time I play is later at night after the family goes to bed and l haven’t really had the interest until now. With the TX and FH3 I want to play every night. HAHA
Big time improvement for wheel users, excellent work T10, I have the fanatec set up (V2, V3 pedals, SQ) and now I’m able to put some real strength into the wheel settings. I like a lighter wheel so I keep the three settings around 25 and center steering around 5. These new setting will allow you to really stiffen up your wheel if that’s what you like. Now if we can get handbrake support I will be in Horizon Heaven.
