Was playing on PC last night and was underwhelmed by the FFB but that wheel hasn’t really been implemented on PC yet so I decided to give it a go on Xbox today and it feels 1,000x better. Users of other brands of wheels will likely benefit from lowering the steering outside deadzone and wheel rotation angle to 540 as well.
Wheelbase menu settings---------
Sen - auto
FF - 50
Sho - 60
ABS - 65
Lin - off
Dea - off
Dri - 3
You can tweak FF and Sho in the wheelbase settings to make the forces and vibrations stronger or weaker. FF for wheel strength and Sho for vibrations and bumps. I highly recommend 100 in the game menu and adjusting FF from wheel because if you leave the wheel on auto and use the game setting to adjust it is extremely light on force. This way feels great and you can make it as strong as you can bare.
Happy trails and hope this helps you Fanatec guys out there.
Ive got a PC and Xbox as well, the Xbox is definitely easier to setup than the PC even with the GTX920. I’ve used your settings in game on the Xbox all except outside steering, I turned that down to 65 which feels better for me. Thanks for the settings.
Here are my settings no right or wrong ones as its all personal preference.
Fanatec V2 wheel settings
SENS…360 degrees
FFB"…40
Sho…60
ABS…67
Lin…off
DEA…off
DRI…off
BrF…30
Game settings -----advanced (X. Button)
Steering. 0-100
Steering Lin. 60
Accel. 0-100
Decel. 1-100 ( 1 as if you use auto it can affect your reverse if not 100 disengaged or if you drive with 2 feet and brake got is slightly on brake unintentionally) I use paddles though.
Clutch. 0-50. ( not sure it this actually works but attempting to quicken the clutch speed while shifting)
E-brake. 0-100
Vibration. 60
FFB. 75
360 degrees rotation ( I just like this feel of the wheel) I also run with Sim steering too.
Abs Traction control, And stability ------ OFF
Try this and let me know what you or anyone else thinks as any adjustments made I would like to also try, thanks
I was having trouble with my pedals in the XBox, the brake is weak and does not like to reverse when pressed all the way in.
Also, I tried it on PC and the button assignments changed for A and X and whatnot. Plus the menu just mentions 1, 2, 3, 4 and I do not know what those are are on my wheel. Does not make it very convenient.
On the XBox I also noticed that the button assignments changed when using a controller. LB to select something on the wheel but A on the controller… What??
If your re else is not working properly all the time try setting you inside limit to 5 with accel and decel. If either on is still registering it will not go in reverse. Just make sure you are not having some input on either one before trying to go in reverse, hope this helps you.
Just wanted to say thanks for the H3 settings that you all have worked hard at to help wheel users. I just got back into the wheel (after the GT2-CS V1 forza 4 days) with the purchase of the csw v2, cs v3 and csl P1 rim and with your settings as a base I have come up with what works for me. I’m actually very surprised that it works so well having read a lot of bad reviews of H3 and wheel use. I’m loving this new setup and H3 is big time fun again. This game requires some set up tweaks (FFB, SHO, VIB) depending on the car and surface but when you get it dialed in its awesome.
Wheel
SEN- auto
FFB- 30
SHO- 50
ABS- 70
LIN- off
DEA- off
DRI- 3 ( 1 if only on tarmac)
BRF- 50
In-game settings are pretty much the same as above but I’m getting better clutch work/shifts with 7-8 inside and 70-75 outside zones.
I run similar settings but I run with 900 DOR for road cars and 540 for race cars and buggies. If you guys are interested you should definitely consider joining our club which is exclusive for wheel users.
Really need some help figuring out my setup I tried the information you guys have on here and it just seems like my car gets loose so fast then just out of control and spins out I have the csw v2 with Porsche 918 rim running newest driver and firmware would appreciate the help been frustrating not being able to get it going
Did you adjust the limits for the clutch and brake in the game itself? Also try the steering on Normal or simulation, which ever you dont have now. In game settings for the acceleration, deceleration, steering ( especially) should be set at 0-100 except decell ( braking ) which I set at 5 -100 so I dont accidentally drag the brake ( also if in auto transmission it can affect your reversing after braking transition).
These are the best settings I have found to work for me, I have adjusted them many times over the last month and I like this setting the best of any I have tried.
Wheel settings ( Fanatec CSW. V2 )
SENS…auto
FFB…27
SHO…100
Abs…67. ( Fanatec CSP. V3 )
LIN, DEA, DRI…off
BRF…60 or to your preference, lower number brakes faster
Now in game settings
Sim steering, all assists off, manual clutch ( middle selection as I am not good with actually clutching although I do have the shifter if I want to have fun trying)
Steering 0-100
Steering Lin…47
Acel, decel, clutch, and E-brake 0-100 unless using auto then set decel to 5-100 to avoid unwanted reversing when stopped
Vibration scale…60
FFB scale…69
Wheel rotation angle…360
FFB under steer…56
FFB minimum force…80
Wheel damper scale…0
Center spring scale…120
Please leave a comment how you like this if you try it but it’s the best set up for me that I have found and works good in normal horizon and it also works good in the snow add on too
