Team Adventure - Tips for Success

I’m looking for some help.

I’ve read most of the posts about Team Adventure, and am well aware of its’ shortcomings. However, I have decided to challenge myself by playing Team Adventure in order to see how far I can move up in the leagues.

The problem I have is that I am ill-prepared when I join an adventure. As you all know, the type of race (on road or off road), season, and car class are all random. You have about 40 seconds to choose your best car for possibly 5 races, including 2 freeroam rush races.

For those of you who have been successful in Team Adventure, what do you do to prepare for a series of races when you don’t know the requirements until the series start?

Thanks for your help

Like from the old movie “Wargames” the only winning strategy is to not play  Since I won’t play online without a choice of class this is the approach I have taken.

Collect good drivers and join rooms as a convoy. That has worked for me and thats just me and 2 other guys. The rest of the bunch are random. The other day we won at least 7 straight rounds. 5 of those rounds were a 3-0 spanking.

Well, as a non-team/convoy random person, that sometimes plays in the ranked race stuff… the way I prepared and suggest for you is that you first start racing in the non-ranked area. It’s basically the same, without the worries of messing up your rank. Its a place you can test your skills and cars against real people. But, before you even start, go to your garage and find some cars you like to start with and setup a car for each Class A, S1 and S2 and for each race type Street/Offroad/Cross Country. Some cars may work for all seasons, some may not, thats for you to choose. Then go racing in the non-ranked area, and while racing, see what other people are having success with, and go get that car/truck and configure to your liking and see if those work better for you. Then once you have your vehicles, then go and race in the ranked stuff.

With that said, you alone, can not win an entire ranked “Adventure”, so you are at the mercy of the rest of your team. So, if you know of other people that play the game, try playing with them as a team. At least then you know that they won’t try to wreck you and are there to help your team win.

Thanks for the advice folks. I appreciate it.

I like the idea of using off road tires for those cars designated for off road, cross country and winter.

What about the use of rally suspension? I’ve used it on a couple of different cars, and I seem to just bounce around, throwing my front end left or right, even with an AWD car.

Any suggestions?
