Could someone help and let me know when Team Adventure shall be fixed?
For 2 months now I am barely League 10 for mainly the below 3 reasons:
Matchmaking: Somehow I end up with the team of totally new players (who normally do not get the concept of “TEAMS” and fight push everyone off the road besides bringing the totally wrong car to the set of races. e.g.:: Just today I had to quit (which I barely ever do only in cases which are pointless) a A class dirt “Adventure” already on the start as I was put in a team of barely ranked players against a team of higher tier players with Bone Shakers, ALL OF THEM… (with even one player less in their team which is an extra advantage) and this seems to be the issue for 80% of the time. It is quite frustrating when you win most races or are in the top 3 and lose against wall riding, ramming, or just unfairly matched teams.
Point system: due to the above mentioned I would welcome a change where individual effort/skills would be rather measured in the end game not just the team points as if you end up in bad rosters all the time it is impossible to progress. 2 months in the same league and dropping out currently, and I am not a quitter… I think points should be only deducted from players who quit or do not achieve any points or less than 300-500 at the end.
Ramming: Can we just have an all ghost session where the player car is displayed only as non-ghost for each player and finally the skills would be relevant again.
Lack of road races and some silly classes: a preference or vote shall be available for race type to channel racers to their preferred race type. Cross Country is just overused. Dirt S2 is pointless, it is technically a demolition derby. S1 seems to be the best category to mach skills in all types.
Your issues are some of the main ones we have all been complaining about for months. 1 of them will be addressed in the January patch - but we haven’t been given exact specifics other than some sort of non-team based adventure.
They will lock this thread because they are now censoring any comments about Team Adventure/Multiplayer until after the new patch.
Yeah, the matchmaking is astonishingly bad. I’ve been stuck at rank 15 for a month or more (in racing; R10 in anything goes). I keep getting teamed with high ranked people who aren’t trying /can’t drive - last night my favorite was the rank 11 guy who finished last, 11th, last, more than 30 seconds behind the leaders in each race. In some like 902 rated rally car for S2.
The game should know what our rough lap times are. Regardless of ranking, I’m sick of being in groups where there’s no more than 1 car that can keep up with me. Most of my races end with a half-lap lead, and I’m top 100 on multiple rivals tracks, but I’m still stuck racing mostly with noobs who haven’t discovered brakes or tuning.
When I do get lucky and end up in a group where everyone is rank 15+, sometimes some excellent competition ensues. But it’s way too rare.
It really should not be hard to put the people running 10+ seconds slower a lap into separate groups, disregarding ranking.
And, of course the points system… +3, +5, +2, +9, -165, +11, -97, +6…
And PSA for noobs: your RWD Ultima (or anything else) is not fast in ranked.
The real noobs are the people who AWD swap everything. I much rather pick and RWD car for any asphalt race. I like the challenge and beating all the AWD scrubs in my Diablo SV. Whenever possible ill drive an RWD car. If ranked really is only about AWD then it seems i havent missed anything.
AWD swapping every car takes any variation out of the game, the whole beauty of Forza is the amazing selection of different cars, and by AWD swapping an F40 you should go straight to hell. I dont mind AWD if the cars came with it from the factory
I can only recall one time that someone in an RWD car in a ranked racing set didn’t come in last in at least 2 of 3 races.
You are going to leave the track at some point, and then you’re dead. And of course you have zero chance to be competitive in free roam.
You are simply hurting your team if you bring an RWD car to ranked.
Realism has very little to do with this game. AWD costs few PI, and makes every single car better at the bumping and grinding of racing with other cars. Keep your RWD cars on rivals tracks racing ghosts.
Beauty and variation are great, but they do not make you go faster.
As a guy who uses AWD only if it’s absolutely necessary I have to disagree - at least for A and S1 road/street racing. RWD (and even FWD on A) is very useful given the right circumstances. But you definitely need to adapt your driving style and become good at “reading a race”. Just “pedal to the metal” won’t do it with RWD. That’s why I always prefer it to AWD if possible. AWD is just boring.
That’s reasonable, and certainly agree about boring. I’d imagine you probably also need to be a top 5- or 10% driver to make it work?
Even in A, the RWD guys are usually so far behind after the initial launch that they’re never going to make it through the field to catch up. I’m sure tune and skill can mitigate it to a large extent, and on a couple of tight tracks FWD/RWD may even be a minor advantage, but it does seem like a pretty big disadvantage in most circumstances.
I’d say petal to the metal is a strategy to lose most races on most tracks, regardless of class or drivetrain. Although a few street tracks can be almost fully wall-ridden I believe.
In any event, I’d love it for fewer people to show up to ranked events in vehicles that have zero chance of being competitive. Wrong car hurts just as much as drivetrain or anything else, but I just see so many Ultimas in last…
Yesterday I managed to gain all the points I was robbed of the previous day. -25 and then -96 in 2 rounds of 6v3. Full teams never have a chance of winning once the other side starts quitting. I made it to league 9 but it took literally, THE WHOLE DAY. Why does it take 12+ hours to gain back 121 points but you can lose that much in 20 mins or less? We need some kind of guide to understand how things are being calculated
Welcome to ranked gaming. What i have read from here it seems that in this game ranked point system works pretty mutch same way in rank 15 than it do some others games in that point where you get really high ranks. I remember back in the days when i was good in nhl game after one loss against bad player it take over 20 wins to gain back those points what lose in that one game but that is more understandable when is top10 leaderboard position. But in fh4 when that kinda point system is allready in lower ranks that is just badly made.
RWD vs AWD vs FWD … ABS , not ABS … players should have challenges they wish to have. Sadly only private team adventure allows to create such CS with so few chances to have people coming to play unless having mates available at the same time and willing to play exact same type of CS than you … I play AWD but I understand some want to play like the original cars were designed for.
Concerning Ranked system and team playing, my way to see it, all ‘Masters’ are Ramming Masters.
Logic with team based races is that one player get 100 points passing 1 car of the other color and 50 points more in case winning the race.
At team level, if you just pass 1 car clean you get 100 points for your team BUT if you crash it, you get the 100 points and you raise the chances for your team mates to pass it too. Pushing logic further if you get this crashed player to ragequit, you get instant 600 points for your team, almost same than winning race itself.
Considering maximum. Someone playing clean makes 650 points for ‘his’ team at the ultimate maximum. Same player ultimate ramming makes 650 + 600 +600 + 600 + 600 + 600 = 3650 points for his team at the ultimate maximum.
The objective in team adventure and ranked is not to win races as an individual, the objective is that your ‘team’ wins the CS. Even not doing it from calculation, one player has more chances to win CS by wall riding and crashing other color players than racing clean.
The best players are therefore players expert at wall riding, ramming like hell and possibly chatting with mates making it team wide strategy.

And this is the main problem it is not racing as you explain it is demolition derby in it’s current form and there are plenty of us who would like the racing back.
What a bad Multiplayer experience … its frustrating as hell .
If you drive fair then its only gambling and if somebody throws you out of the Race, you’ll get messages like … “maybe next time , learn to race … etc” … Ridiculus

And where can i change the driving aids in Team Adventure ? The lower classes (to a) i drive with all aids off , but in higher classes i like sometimes to enable TCS or ABS .
No wonder that only awd vehicles are on the way.
lol. This. Exactly. The crashing into people has always been a thing in these games, but not only have the incentivized it more without giving us an alternative mode to play, that also added a bunch of juvenile and unblockable messages for the can’t-drive crowd to annoy us with. It’s like the game’s target group age went down about 10 years. Seriously, the experience is awful. A lot is because of the players, but PG enables bad behavior.
For me the intent of such messages is double, for sure it is to pretend they are better but also to push you to ragequit which is ultimate benefits for the guy’s team …
No assists with RWD for online? Wow! I need a heavy and AWD car because it’s not a race but usually a battle Trying to drive clean as much as possible but with attacks from every side it’s not easy and with RWD… impossible
