TCS assist in Forza 6 multiplayer makes my motor cut in and out when I enter a corner but in single-player it doesn’t do it. I’m not sure whether it’s a common bug or not, but my friend has the same problem too. If anyone has this problem or has fixed it please let me know as I’ve never had this problem on Forza 5.
Sounds like you might have the STM assist on if its corner entry where your having the problem. You might have accidentally turned it on and not realized it. If its happening when your applying the throttle then it sounds as if its working correctly.
This is how traction control works. There are several different types of traction control systems. When traction is lost, sensors send signals to the ECU which in turn will either cut the power being delivered to the wheel that lost traction or it can apply the brake to the wheel that is losing traction in an effort to correct the wheel spin. Stability Management works much the same way. TCS is used more to correct wheel spin or loss of grip in a linier motion where as STM is more for lateral loss of grip while cornering.
Bottom line, if your accelerating hard enough for the TCS to kick in, then your not getting full power to the wheels. This is why 99% of top drivers tend not to use TCS unless the car has a monster amount of relative power.
I always felt like Forza was a little to generous when it came to the assist in previous games.
Quite the opposite, TCS / STM give unrealistic penalties in Forza. Modern TCS/STM systems make the cars faster overall, not slower - they are banned in most racing series for this reason and teams occasionally get penalized for working them in around the letter of the rules.
That being said, I understand why Turn10 is implementing archaic TCS/STM systems that actually slow the car down for game play reasons.
I am seeing the same thing here. TCS in multiplayer appears to be much more aggressive than TCS in single player and is massively slowing the car down - it almost feels like in MP the system is treating TCS only as TCS + STM.
Well if it’s giving you issues don’t use it. !
