Interesting. I havenā€™t noticed any of those correlations but maybe my sample size is too small.

One thing of interest I have noticed (and should probably have been tracking for verification it isnā€™t just bias) is that I seem to have about 4 recurring users dropping gifts, like better than half the gifts I get are from the same 4 users. Usually different cars. And only one of the ā€œnamesā€ is generic enough to maybe be more than one person. Iā€™ll have to start noting ā€œnamesā€ to verify Iā€™m not imagining it and maybe see if anyone else sees the same names repeating.

I donā€™t think this is true as the last time I gifted any cars was several months ago, yet I get gifted cars on a daily basis (which I donā€™t collect)

I gift ā€˜lame carsā€™ to new players, base cars I just dump. I hover around 40-60 million bank, so itā€™s not that wise to give away high end cars.

In return, I get the smaller Audis, the Hoonigan rs200, Cadillacs & the occasional Megane. I dunno why I go to the gift barn - I guess I just want material I can gossip on here about. :upside_down_face:

The gift system just gets strangled by the auction house. Players with a lesser bank just perform self damage by gifting a good car away and just getting a stock acknowledgement. People with a bank of half a billion, are at half a billion because they tend to enjoy playing the auction house. The result is the ā€˜gift systemā€™ is that almost all cars are either low quality or cars we are too familiar with.

I gift any dupe cars I get simply because the auction house interface is incredibly cumbersome and I canā€™t be bothered with using it. And for whatever reason, it doesnā€™t feel right to straight-up trash a car that someone else out there might actually want. Iā€™m sorry if anyone out there is getting crappy gifts, but just do as I do and immediately re-gift them at the barn. The real solution here would be to allow players to cash in any dupes at all for their base credit value, just as you can from a wheelspin.

Easiest solution is to gift cars you would want to get. Everyone that might want that Corrado or Clio has it already.

Just gifted a few more Huracan Performantes.
