Still not able to download an play on PC with xbox playanywhere?

Like the title says I am still unable to download and play on PC with xbox play anywhere, I contact Microsoft support, Xbox support and even forza support they all just give me the run around telling me to contact one of the others, have even done one of those remote access technical support with Microsoft and they can’t resolve the issue, I just don’t get what’s wrong I have no problem with other Xbox play anywhere titles like Forza Horizon 3 that works fine?

I am overwhelmed with the number of replies to this post, thanks for all the help.

giving your PC specs might help. what error are you getting? You basically said it doesn’t work, help but gave zero information. Can’t help with no info. What does the store say when you go to download it?

Poor english, poor grammar, wall of text. These are some of the reasons you likely didn’t get a reply. Hardly anybody is going to wade through a text that’s poorly formatted, grammatically incorrect etc to help you. That’s not me being mean. That’s just the way of things. It was indeed why i didn’t help you the first time i read this. I came in today as you’d not had any help yet.

You’ve not mentioned specs, error messages. Anything that might give us a chance at figuring out your problem. As we’re just other users like you and our time is precious to us, you might want to throw us a bone perhaps. I’m not asking for a twenty verse sonnet in Iambic Pentameter, but not a wall of text would be a good start!

So what are your system specs (if you know)?
What error messages are you getting (if any)?
What have you done to try and troubleshoot/fix your issues?
Anything else you’ve not told us?

Well, I get no error message simply because FM7 is not available on the store to install the only option is to buy, which I don’t need to do since it is already installed on my home Xbox so should be available to install on my PC on the Microsoft store through Xbox play anywhere, it was installed and working fine on my PC until a update to it and that is when I lost access to it, strangely enough all the car packs say they can be installed it’s just the main game that just seems to have disappeared, my PC specs a perfectly fine for to run it as I had it working fine before it disappeared.

Sorry we can’t all be A star grade English grammar students.

Don’t apologise to me. I was merely pointing out why it’s likely you weren’t getting any replies. Something which seemed to vex you.
As you’ve said it was working, then it wasn’t after a recent update a couple of things worth trying are clear the Windows Store’s cache And reset the Windows Store itself.

Windows store is so inept at anything to do with games it’s not worth it at this point. The only reason i don’t complain is 1, it’s free for me & 2, it’ll sink soon enough due to the lack of care and attention that it clearly receives. Windows store was built at a time when office was the only thing they really sold, and that was it’s only aim. It’s completely unsuitable for games which is why people keep having problems.

Ok, I gave that a try even though I had previously done so and still no joy still no option to install FM7, I will just have to live with not being able to play on PC against my son while he is playing on Xbox.

Just not getting why this is the only Xbox play anywhere game that has this issue, something must have changed in the licensing without any notification to users, it’s the only explanation I can come up with it’s almost like a denial of service.

Just spitballing here, as apex is the only game I’ve ever installed from forza on my win10 PC.

You updated windows, can’t download forza. Seems to me it’s probably because forza is already installed? You’ve lost access to it, yes?

Now, I’m not a rocket scientist, but do things from the store that have been installed, show up in add/remove programs? If so, is it there?

If it is, do you know where it’s installed, and can you possibly navigate to that directory to access it? If it’s there, and you can’t navigate to the directory, can you simply ‘remove’ it from the add/remove programs, reboot, go back to the store to see if it’ll let you download it now?

One final thought, you are using your same Microsoft account on that PC, as you are on your Xbox, yes?

I have solved the issue not in the ideal way I admit, I just bought Forza 7 standard edition from the Microsoft PC store with 50% off and as I had a £5 store credit I was able to get it for £19.99 and as all the DLC from the Ultimate edition was already available to install on my PC things are now working as they should be, oh well problem solved even though it cost me an extra £19.99 thanks to Microsoft who were of no help in solving this issue at all.

But a big thanks to anyone on here that offered help.

Seems weird but did you not buy it originally digitally

Yes the game was bought originally on Xbox digitally the ultimate edition and I did have access to it on PC to download and play from the Microsoft PC store via Xbox play anywhere for some reason after the game was updated I was unable to access it from PC even though I could still access all the DLC from the ultimate edition with the choice to install, the only option the game gave me was to buy it again it was like the licence for the PC version had been removed when the game updated because a soon as I just bought the standard edition for PC the licence was acquired and I was able to install and play.

I did explain all that to Microsoft but either they didn’t understand or they just didn’t want to understand, because they were of no help whatsoever.

They are a bit useless
Its like you are using 2 different accounts/gamertags
Really it shouldnt have let you buy it again if using the same account/gamertag
It seems to have treated it like you bought it originally with a different gamertag

Personally I think they cocked up and didn’t want to admit it.
