Steering Wheel versus Elite Controller versus Normal Xbox One Controller

We solved this question a while back, after we were both on the same track at the same time with the same car and same set up. Both wheel and controller had exactly the same flat out speed down the straightaway.
How you drive one or the other and on what track and car, etc… Is another story.

Personally I’ve never felt the need to buy a steering wheel, as the Xbox controller (both 360 and Xbox One) has always been comfortable and competitive.

I haven’t tried an Elite Controller just yet but am hoping to later this year.

Appreciate all the information, guys ! Thanks ! I have been using the controller all this time, I prefer the wheel when I want to set a perfect lap time but on the fly the controller seems to be doing sufficient justice.

I have an elite controller and love it, I paid £110 on release day from Game, here in the UK.

all depends what you want from Forza 6, if you want maximum immersion, its a no brainer a racing wheel with force feedback with a nice seat like a playseat & your good to go.
controller which ever elite or normal will be a controller period.

Cheers.

Except the elite controller is better than the stock controller. Just like some prefer expensive wheels compared to a 75 dollar one.

This…especially once you figure out your stick length and sensitivity, paddle positions and button layouts. I now have the most comfortable xbox contoller and while I’m still getting used to paddles as a clutch, I can tell that shortly I’ll be quite a bit faster than with the standard controller.
