Please Offer a free steering rate option so that I can whip the wheel in either direction with the gamepad… this whole grandpa slow, then out of control because of the natural physics of not being able to turn the wheel back fast enough to the position needed to maintain control. I’m bored with the grandpa steering on both steering options.
Have you switched over to simulation steering? This will loosen up the wheel a bit. Also, have you adjusted the advanced controller settings to set the deadzones to a level where it offers quicker thumbstick response? Give these things a try to see if it gives you the control you are looking for.
SIM steering does loosen up the wheel but on a controller, control is always assisted because the game puts a cap on how much you CAN steer according to speed.
I think it’s time T10 did away with this; it’s been such an annoyance since FM4, even though it was there in FM3 as well.
OP, one thing you can do is reduce the outside steering deadzone to 85 or maybe 80. This will allow your driver to go to full lock a little faster, though it doesn’t get rid of speed sensitive steering.
You’ll need to exercise extra caution though as you go into a slide, you’ll have less freedom of movement.
