Staying positive

I know it seems like it’s taking forever to get an update and I know it is most likely a very difficult and expensive undertaking, but I hope Turn 10 has been listening carefully to our suggestions and is talking extra time to get this update 100% correct without causing any new problems… At least that is my hope.

I agree, it would be great if they would interact with the community from time to time and post issues they recognized and are addressing, but here is to being positive!

Yup i had the same exact thing in mind! Allways stay positiv but damn there was a racing game released a few monthes back that had massive problems and still has but credit has to go to the head of studio for his community intaraction!

Their patch notes are so in-depth that they approach “TL;DR” status, and I’m saying that as a compliment.

Yes, Ian Bell and SMS are very commicative with their community.

Makes you wonder why Turn 10 havnt aknowledged the problems/glitches to pacify all the disgruntled players.

It certainly seems to alienate the community and already after two weeks of ultimate edition, players are leaving or stopping play waiting for the the unknown details of patch 1.

I understand some people who say:
“Chill, give them time… no patch has ever been released in two weeks” (bar gta5)
But to not even post a thread saying we are aware and working on a fix is a major kick in the teeth.

A simple,
“Please be patient we are looking into xyz” would surrfice to the majority who are willing to hang around.

Would really go a long way and at least people would know their concerns voiced on these forums are being heard.

In my opionion it seems a waste of time posting here because it seems it falls on deaf ears.

Maybe try twitter.

Well said, i couldnt agree with this post more. Im really dissapointed with the whole experience of this title.
its left a bitter taste in my mouth for the franchise in the future im afraid… im not going to say anything else about this as partyboy has filled the gap to be honest.

Remember when they used to interact with the community?

They’d post, they’d be involved in the contests and on the forums, they’d have Game with the Devs nights, that sort of thing? Sometimes even outside of business hours…

That said. Some things have been acknowledged by Turn10 in posts and they have been on here. They are working on the issues, and hopefully they release a patch with the October DLC…

No patch in two weeks?! HA! Command and Conquer 3 from EA had, within 1 WEEK, not 1, not 2, not even 3… but 6 patches, in about 5 days lol, was probably the worst case of bull i’ve evern seen because it still didn’t fix the most pressing issues, crazy.

On topic, the patch(patches) have to come before the October DLC pack coming next week otherwise I suspect the forums will riot with: “U RELEES DLC AND NO PATCH RAWR T10 DIE!” or something worse lol.

Maybe try reading this: http://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst42283_Support-Forum-use-and-issues-list---READ-ME.aspx

Looks to me like Max has spent a great deal of time “interacting” with the community.

Max is awesome, he does great things for the community. His contributions here are probably the most positive thing I see.

He is not, however, on the dev team. He’s one of the forum moderation team.

We have precious few posts and interactions from anyone with “Turn 10 Staff” in their title here in the FM6 area.

Anyone have a count on how many posts by Turn 10 staff exist in the FM6 section?

That’s very true, Max is a mod, not part of the Dev team. However, if you read through that post you’ll see that he has posted the status of many of the complaints and updated many of them whenever possible. It’s very clear that the dev team is aware of all the legitimate issues and are at least looking into them.

The mods are not simply just the forum “police”. They also often act as our liaison’s, or interface, with T10. I don’t see that it really matters where the info comes from. If the dev team chooses to relay info through the mod team that’s fine by me. As long as we get the answers to our questions, or updates on what is happening here on the forum, then all is good.

I would qualify these issues as technical support issues by and large. To me this is the absolute minimum level of obligation towards a freshly released product by its developers. There are still unacknowledged techincal issues and the quality of life wishes of the community continue to lack response.

I just don’t see the enthusiasm from the dev team. The passion for their product and its users is imperceptible if it is there.

On a positive note, I thoroughly enjoyed playing frreeplay last night by setting myself just the one opponent and setting car class to “any”. This essentially turns Free Play into a version of the FH2 system where the other car is set to a PI a little bit higher than yours. I then race a bog stock car and see how well I can drive it. Can be a challenge at times on unbeatable for sure and many of the issues I have with career mode are not present in these conditions.

EZT, thank you for being “Positive” and supplying a helpful link!

No problem man. Sometimes good info can be virtually buried here on the forums and can easily go un-noticed. Plus, we all know the search function is not the most user friendly interface on the planet. It works, but it can be tough to ferret out what your looking for.

It’s hard to stay positive these days when both my favorite games (F6 and Pcars) is unplayable due to game braking bugs, I hope the T-10 fixes the over sensitive steering problem as quickly as possible, but as it is now, it is no fun to play at all, so I’ll have to put this game on the shelf until further notice.

Staying positive and waiting for FM7 -,-
