Turn 10 are listening

Hey guys, Just wanted to mention this as it shows Turn 10 are paying attention.
First of all, unrelated to this they have the customer survey, so it’s shows they are at least collecting data on customers.
Now on to my point. I had reason to email Turn 10 a couple of days ago after speaking to a mod. More Forums/community related than directly game feedback, but important nonetheless. Brian replied to me within a few hours. That is quick, and he came back to me with an actual answer, not just a thanks for your feedback. I won’t go into details as it’s something that can cause come contention, and there’s already enough of that. But I wanted to let you guys know they are taking feedback and acting on it where possible.

I know a lot of the post release furore has died down, but now is the time to let them know what you like or don’t about the franchise, you have the customer survey, there’s the feedback thread, the support email address, Facebook and Twitter.
Let them know about what you Love and Hate about Forza 6 now, as this is when it may actually have an impact on Forza 7, while it’s in the early stages of development.
But guys, do me one favour, please please please, be polite.

You catch more flies with honey than vinegar, as the old saying goes!

Nice post BBTD MitchyK7 as well, is the plea for politeness. I sincerely hope it does not fall on deaf ears.
I too have had good experiences hearing back from T10 Staff on messages I’ve sent.

I have tried, when ever possible, to point out to folks here in the community the avenues of listing suggestions, what you would like in the game, issues, problems, etc.

We have more places to list these in FM6 then any other release of the game, I have even sited Brian Ekberg’s own statement and interview where he discussed how they collect, spread sheet and discuss wish list and other community submitted data weekly. But often I get back replies…

“They don’t listen”
“They don’t care”
“Wish Lists are Pointless”
“We are just going to keep posting everywhere until they listen” (in unrelated threads, hijacked from OP Topic)

I know personally to the contrary that this is not true, and I appreciate you spreading that message to those that doubt.

I have said and still do, FM.Net has the best game community out there, a little respect, some thought and empathy put into a post/reply and politeness goes a long way to keeping it that way.
Thanks

I’ve done that customers survey because I hoped the ask question about gameplay. There was only marketing question. Zero question about gameplay in detail. So they not listen. This question help them to complete statistics but not to make the game for customers better. Huge waste of time and really disappointed about the questions. Is that all what turn 10 know from us. They don’t care and they do what good for themselves but not for the players. This customers survey show that turn 10 not really interested in the players thoughst. Changes in fm7 are to late because not less people expect chances for fm6.
But in my opinion they drive the franchise with full speed against the wall. They should asked if players want that arcade gameplay and mod card nonsens. Thats are fundamental questions about the direction the franchises would go if they not want lose more loyal followers. They bought fm6 even if they know that the game goes in the opposite direction they hoped.

Im glad that they give you the answer that you wish. Nothing against customers support. There done a good job. But there are not decide about features and gameplay. Nobody say that community management didn’t listen. The bosses of turn 10 are the one they don’t listen.

This was the issue. It was just a marketing survey, no chance to give actual feedback on the game, only give an answer from four choices about what you thought about the game.

That survey was useless

@Relapsicate @Psychomantyx

Respectfully, the Survey was clearly a specific survey about some data T10 wants, it was not a ‘General Survey About Everything You Like, Hate, or Want to Change About the Game’ so please keep in mind, it was a survey of narrow focus. Who knows, perhaps they will make a broader survey at another point.

Regardless, you have the following places, stated by T10, where your wishes for Tracks, Cars and Features may be added. As well as a place for issues you are having. Also a place to email T10 Directly.
A few are below but the rest are stickied at the top of the forums

Features Wish List for what you want added/changed
Wish list for cars you want in the game
forzafb@microsoft.com Email T10 / Forza Developers with complaints/concerns

Keep in mind, those means provided and stated by T10 are the places they wish to collect data from.

It is not really reasonable to expect anyone will receive a personal message for every request, wish, complaint they have.

It is not really reasonable to expect everything you may want in the game, or wish to change or add will get done, the best you can do is pass your requests along in proper locations.

It is not really reasonable to expect, every question anyone may have about why something is no longer in the game, or can’t be put in the game, is directly answered by a member of T10.

Best thing we all can do, as gamers of Forza and community members of FM.net, is use the provided and T10 requested methods, to share respectfully, what we want, what we wish for, and what suggestions you have.

There are already a couple of replies on here that prove that however well written and well intentioned a post is, it unfortunately falls on deaf or misunderstanding ears.

That notwithstanding, thanks for sharing.

You can’t prove that at all

Just because they aren’t replying to every single complaint post does not mean they aren’t reading & understanding them

Changes don’t happen over night

Every complaint post? They very rarely reply to anything on the forum at all, yet alone complaints. It’s very fair to question whether Turn 10 are genuinely interested in what the community wants to see, or just do what gets them their funding from Microsoft and sponsorships for their car licenses and monthly DLCs.

And it’s very fair to question your ability to conduct yourself in a reasonable manner. Feedback is just fine, however jumping into every possible thread and bashing Turn 10/Microsoft isn’t acceptable. You can’t demand a service while simultaneously degrading those who provide it for you.

I believe there is a lot of irrational and illogical thinking on both sides. The community has every right to complain about and critique the game they love, but some of the posts & expectations are beyond ridiculous. It is unfair to assume that just because they rarely reply to threads means they do not care. I’m sure many people at Turn 10 are aware of what the community want, but are unable to do anything about it. Unless you work there, we have absolutely no idea what they are saying behind closed doors, or what they are allowed to say/do under contract.

Now Turn 10 on the other hand can bring a lot of doubt upon themselves too. Releasing tokens, micro transactions mostly viewed in negative light, right after an ill recieved Fall Out car was announced, and with the community already in an uproar, is probably not a good idea.

Both sides need to take a step back and relax. Turn 10 need room to breathe, and a lot of people need to really rethink their expectations.

At the end of the day, we’re all a bunch of grown a** men arguing over a video game, come on.

Exactly. There’s a line between “I’m frustrated that T10 hasn’t incorporated this feature (yet)” and “T10 hasn’t incorporated this feature because they hate the community” that’s pretty unproductive to cross. That can happen when there’s not a constant stream of info beyond the Week in Review and the patch notes that come with monthly DLC, and while we get vaguely credible hearsay about why some things haven’t been possible (“some community features became a credit-laundering scheme for hackers”; “Suzuka was unwilling to license the track”; “dynamic weather and time of day won’t work with 1080P/60FPS”, etc), it can be frustrating to not have easy access to the Why of things straight from the source, at least as an acknowledgment that some parts of the game need to be stepped up.

That said, as long as they keep patching at least some of the things that people have been complaining about – corner-cutting areas on tracks, sound levels on cars, cockpit camera positioning, bugged leaderboard cars, – I’m at least somewhat optimistic, or at least on the side of “they haven’t fixed it yet” over “they won’t fix it”. The one thing that’s been true of Forza since at least FM4 is that each game in the series (Motorsport and Horizon alike) has a long lifecycle, and the game on launch has always been tweaked and updated to the point where it feels bigger and better six months after launch. Some of that’s DLC, some of that’s patches, some of that’s free updates, but it’s consistent with how T10’s done things. If that means they have to spend the effort to fix things that actually break the game and intrude on EVERYBODY’S experience before they can get around to improving the game for certain segments of the player base, that’s the way it goes.

Indeed, it is unfair to jump to conclusions. It does make many members start questioning it though, and I don’t find that unreasonable.

As the above poster aptly put, it’s called communication. Silence isn’t the best kind.

I rest my case (rolls eyes to heaven)

I am sorry if I misunderstood your post but what are you trying to say? That no matter what people say & how they say it make no difference in the end? That the Turn 10 isn’t getting the message?

In any case, it’s great that you and I can have a rational discussion on this topic, keep those eyes rolling

Let me see if I can straighten this out.

KTVDS’ original post–I believe–was talking to some posters on this thread that were posting the same complaints we’ve seen a million times before, on a million different threads. I believe you, Dadio, misinterpreted that very same post as a comment on/to T10, and no on/to the posters I speak of.

Wrong interpretation I believe.

Dadiodude’s saying that despite Mitchy’s pleas for kindness and respect, there’s already a few people who posted in this thread that clearly threw that by the wayside.

Edit: I’m glad Brian (or at least someone at T10) answered an email for you, Mitchy. That not only states that people can get a response for an email, but showing some kindness and not “T10 why u hvnt added muh s-fourteenz and muh auctshin hous yet u dont lisen to ur fans worst gme ever 2/10 whtevr.” gets a more adequate and respectable response.

Also, that example sentence hurt to type.

It’s nice that you received a reply on your email. It seems that is far more the exception than the rule.

I’m positive that survey was just for the marketing team to determine which gimmicks drove people to buy the Ultimate edition.

Personally, I find overly sycophantic posts just as obnoxious, if not more than, idiotic negative posts like the example given. Both extremes are quite painful to read.

& I hate to say it but Smoothroller - I think you have them both swapped about in your explanation/ understanding of what is going on.
