As the subject implies, I might have messed myself up by missing a festival upgrade. Here’s what happened: I was sitting at 600,00 Fans when I received a festival upgrade. At that point, I also had Surfer’s paradise festival up to level 4. Sounds good right? So I waited to upgrade the festival and just messed around and finished a championship that brought up a
special event racing against boats. This event gave me enough fans that bumped me into 1.1 Million fans and a 2nd festival upgrade on hand. Now the closest festival at that time was the Surfers Paradise (sitting at level 4 at this point) and I entered it to upgrade it. It upgrades to level five, and maxes out. Then I realize, i had another upgrade on hand that needed to be used elsewhere. The thing is: it no longer applies anymore! I can’t upgrade anything else even though my other hubs are lower. Seemingly, I lost a festival upgrade that in incurred and had on hand. Is this a known issue? Did I mess up or is there something to be done?
TL;DR: Had two festival upgrades on hand, went into a festival hub that was at level 4. It upgraded to level 5 (max level) and then the other one upgrade was lost in the process.
Surfer’s Paradise: Level 5 Festival
Yarra Valley: Level 2 Festival.
Byron Bay: Level 2
Outback: Not Unlocked (I don’t even know how to unlock the 4th one).
This is a tough one. Part of me wants to say just keep playing and see what happens but the danger in that is you could get to the end with 1 upgrade short which will prevent 100% completion.
I would suggest this thread be moved to the support forum in case the devs see it. You can probably report your own thread and in reason say “please move to support forum”
Ok, now we just need someone with 1,250,000ish fans to confirm whether or not you should have 6 total “festival upgrades”. I’d do it myself, but I’m at nearly 20mil fans. But I suspect that you’re actually not glitched or missing an upgrade.
He’s not alone my Byron Bay Festival is Rank 2 Meanwhile the Rest are 3 and Surfers is 5… Real pain wish there would of been more direction instead of now needing 2mil people…
It is not a bug is what I mean. You can upgrade in any order you like. I did.
What the OP is worried about is they had a festival upgrade and did not do it. They got to their next festival upgrade and were then only able to upgrade once.
There are 4 festivals which start at level 1. Each is upgradeable 4 times so total of 16. The OP is worried that one of their “upgrade tokens” (for want of a better term) has vanished.
My issue is that I finished a race and rolled over onto a festival expansion. At the same time, I unlocked High Rise Rush showcase. I attempted to go expand a festival but there was no option (I could only enter) and I could only do the showcase and no other races. So I did the showcase and got 1 million fans and got another festival expansion. I could only use one of those expansions.
Im not sure if its a bug or what will happen at the end.
I entered level 5 festivals when I had available upgrade tokens to swap my car over and then was able to drive to the lower level festivals to upgrade them. Worked fine, did it a lot.
Similar thing has happened to me , however I guess it’s my fault.
What happend with me was I received enough fans after doing the third showcase event. After the event I wanted to change my car forgetting that if I entered a festival it would upgrade it. so ended up upgrading my lvl 4 surfers paradise festival to lvl 5 instead of upgrading my lvl 2 outback festival so I decided to restart the game,hoping it would set the festival back to lvl 4 and allow me to go to another festival to upgrade. Unfortunately it reset the festival back to level 4 but didn’t allow me to upgrade another. In hindsight I shoulda just left it but I wanted more races to do in the outback.
Wait wait wait. You unlock either a festival expansion OR a showcase event. Never both at the same time. Some fan levels unlock festival expansions, some unlock showcases. The showcases happen to be conveniently arranged to give you enough fans to get the next festival expansion. You aren’t missing anything.
Maybe someone could help me while on this topic. I have a very similar problem.
I have unlocked all the festivals except the Outback. Instead of unlocking the Outback, I decided to expand Byron Bay, missing my chance. Is there any way to get the chance to build the Outback festival again?
(I’ve scoured the internet and haven’t found an answer yet…)
Have you been out to where the outback festival site is
Dont think its actually possible to skip opening it…but if you actually have you should just need to get enough fans to upgrade/open a new one and be able to do it
