Not entirely true, there’s an extra 7 points available every season with the HotWheels events.
But they are part of the playlist. You only “Gold” the season if you complete all events on it.
You gold the series without those 28 points. Just look at the series history and the total points required.
Yes - I know about series history.
Just checked and I have 4 (not counting this current series) that are not gold.
Why ? - because there were drift events that I didn’t complete at one or other of those series weekly playlists.
Well sorry to sound harsh but if you can’t drift however much you try then as bitter a pill as it is to swallow you just have to accept not being to finish everything in certain weeks is going to be inevitable.
I have accepted it in most cases but the point here is that this one is ridiculous compared with other PR stunts that were a lot more than the 3 star level but never double.
Couple that with the fact that most have some sort of car restriction that prevents you from using the car that you 3 starred the event with in the first place.
Cause 3 star in this is way too low. Even myself as a terrible drifter i was getting easily 900k no matter the car and class. The difficult part is to find the extra 50k-70k to get 1mil needed.
If you are below 900k don’t waste your time…
I would say that with those figures being done constantly, and in any car too, does not put you in that category. I would class that as a pretty decent drifter. I know a number of pretty decent drifters who have struggled with this one though.
I already said I suck at drifting, so terrible would probably describe me more than you. Best attempt at this so far was 755 K. what tier level would you say that was ?
If you read on reddits, forums etc you will see that most people are getting over 900k but they can’t find the extra points needed for 1mil. Even 950k is doable without have to suffer but the extra points cannot be found easily for people that are bad on drifting because they are probably the points lost by constantly changing direction or getting with poor angle the corners. I had to go a class to get it. I think that i really can’t find the extra points needed with an s2 class car.
If you are on 755k there is no tune or car that will find you over 200k. I suppose that they place PR stunts 3star targets low to make sure that people won’t get disappointed by not be able to finish them.
Usually, playlist’s targets are easy but from times to times they ask for more difficult tasks in. Not sure if they keep track of how many people finish them but if they do maybe they want to find out where the average skill level is.
755,809 - top 44% of 3,197,292 Global players on this one.
That would lead me to believe the reddit, forums posts are not everybody who’s tried it. That’s back to the ridiculous (mostly sarcastic) claim of over 8 billion players having done this when there’s only 3.2M on the table.
Which must have been either prior to the expansion, or you don’t have the expansion.
The percentages are very construed which honestly they really don’t mean anything anymore. Since you could score much easier at launch and like alot of people; they don’t even drift or completely ignore drift zones… Meaning that there are alot of super low scores not even 1 star territory. Honestly as I had mentioned before almost every person I had talked to hit at least 800k. Though most of my friends hit in the 1 mil range to 1.2 though the high 1.1 range and 1.2 range are typically leaderboard hunters.
Heck me and my friends competed in the tankpools and the 6x6 and we were in the 1.05 to 1.1 range
I mentioned before - I’ve been playing since pre-launch - meaning I have the premium edition which has HW expansion included. The non gold ones were indeed before HW series but I already had the expansion and did most of that before the series actually started once the update came out a couple of days before…
Again - good for you and your friends.
I originally just scraped the 3 stars on 30th March. This latest figure was only achieved yesterday after numerous attempts.
Why do you guys blame the game as being to hard, when in fact you guys arent good enough ? I dont want to be a jerk but i can do 1mil points in pretty much any car in the game. The reason why they make the game to easy for most peole is bec you blame the game when in fact you should practice more. 1mil points is not that hard when you learn to drift, and if you dont like to drift then dont do the challange. I dont like playground events so i dont do them, i dont go around blame the event veing to hard or easy, i just dont do them.
Again - as already stated - I’ve been trying for years to practice and improve my drifting but accept that I suck at it so I know I will always struggle with these. The main issue of this thread is that the 100% increase on 3 stars, whether you think that too low or not, is a ridiculous increase for most. Well done for not trying to be a jerk and congrats that you can drift.
Question - how did you get it when the PR stunt calls for an S2 car to be used ?
It’s true, some players are good at aspects of this game while other are less experienced. But is the player the problem when challenges are setup with a single difficulty? Instead of foolishly expecting everyone to get gud and be on the same level, it would be better to tailor challenges so that it can be completed at various difficulties. Make it so that newbies can complete it, while challenging more experienced players. Something like:
500k - 1 star, 1 point
900k - 2 star, 2 points
1 mill - 3 star, 3 points
Finally, somebody gets the point I’ve been trying to make. Only issue I see is that, while I suck at drifting, my overall experience level would put me above a newbie level.
That’s the trick, in this case it seems that you can take anything up to S2. Not sure whether it’s intended or glitch number uncountable.
