There were some glitches in FH3 that let you get off the map, but you’ll find that the area beyond is fairly limited before you drop through and out of the bottom of the map (long black drop). The area outside the map is there for a good visual background, not actual exploring. It’s interesting for a while to get “outside”, but it’s not a solid area.
I could see that bridge being the warp point for an expansion area. Like you drive past a certain point and if you have the expansion a cutscene plays while the new area loads. If not you get the pop up telling you to buy it and it blocks you.
It would be so much better if any land mass expansions were integrated into the main map and it was all seamless. They could keep them accessible and driveable to all but force you to buy the expansion to actually do all the new events or make custom routes there. Would basically be a trial of the expansion, and possibly get more people to buy them if they like tooling around there and want to do some actual events on those new roads.
The real issue with that is in multiplayer and coop they’d probably have to allow you to play that content if the host has the expansions so as to not divide between the haves and have nots like usual. And I could see why they’d be against that, but it would definitely be a better experience for everyone if they were kept together and not segmented off when the expansions hit. Just do more premium car DLC to make up for it, hah.

Over the Forth Bridge, not far from Dunfermline lies the Knockhill Racing Circuit. Maybe this the reason the physics are like FM7.

It would be nice to drive to the expansion instead of taking a ferry like in the past. They could also keep out people who haven’t paid for the expansion pass by turning them around automatically like in the demo when you go out of bounds

Honestly, i dont think that the map will get bigger. All Horizons have nearly the same map size. What do you think why it is so ? I guess its a technical thing with the forza engine not allowing a map to be bigger than it is.
If they are allowed to construct bigger maps, why didn’t they have made it for forza horizon 4 ? This would be awesome if they presented the game with “and the map in Forza Horizon 4 will be the biggest of all time, it is one and a half bigger tha Forza Horizon 3”. I’m sure the players would be amazed about those news.
I’m pretty sure we have to port to the expansions, like we ever had to do.
They said they didn’t include London for various reasons but not the truth. Licensing London is not simply a matter of going to city of London council and asking permission. Many of the buildings have their own licensing in place and are funny about games including them. Think London Eye or The Gherkin. This is why it’s not in the game. Licensing.

Nothing will come of this rumour other than a lot of disappointed people when they announce what the expansions actually are!
EDIT: Dragnet is really on a roll with the censorship! You’d laugh if i told you what i actually put but mods makes the rules so we abide by them. Mostly.
Although there’s a guy in another thread likening this game to having sex with his girlfriend and that hasn’t been censored as far as i know!

Okay, so I think all the Panzer II and III will be coming from these bridges, so we really need to drop all our mines and C4 them out to the stratosphere before they can cross 'em over, then send all our snipers to where the white round spot is on the map so they can crouch, crawl and camp away from the actual game, and wait for other people who like to get dirty to cross over the semi destroyed bridges, only for a LAME kill streak… you know, team play… oh wait, am I not on the BF5 forum? (when there are too many awesome games to play…)
Back to seriousness… my real two cents are these two:
1- They should tell us what the expansions actually are about (or at least TEASE US, make us speculate based on real info). You can buy them without having a clue what these will be. Marketing 101, I would have probably bought them both already to support this awesome franchise, but… I certainly don’t encourage another economic model based on faith…
and,
2- I LOVED both expansions from FH3 and the pretty cool Storm Island from FH2. The big F franchise has come a long way, I’ve played every game and countless hours since Forza 3 and I’m convinced the devs will publish their best expansions so far given how great FH4 is… so yeah, tease us Forza, TEASE US!!

I heard the first expansion was supposed to be a revamp of the Horizon 2 Europe Map. Supposedly, a tunnel at the south end of the map would lead underground to the north end of the FH2 Europe Map.
But then again, I heard that from Billy, and Billy is nothing but a little liar. So, take it with a grain of salt.

those two bridges and the rail bridge would lead to fife in scotland (even tho the map has them in the wrong place) i hope thats not the expansion. I’d rather see northern ireland or the scottish islands or the channel islands or even the isle of man in the expansion.
The expansion is gonna be in Skye.
My guess is the expansion will be just like in FH3, a location you drive to on the map and then teansported to the next location. The bridges could be an interesting spot to place them, but I doubt you will actually drive across the bridge, which is a shame honestly.
IMO the expansion should’ve been the rest of Britain and Ireland. We don’t even have London! I mean, come on.
Nevertheless, I hope Fortune Island is as fun as Blizzard Mountain.

WHY TURN10… WHYYY? You got to bridge right on top of the map over edinburgh but to go to fortune island we still need to go to the beach to travel (cinematic) to fortune island. I like the cars that you’re adding but menn the 2 bridges what the… Imo they are not supposed to be there for photos… but to go on them. What do you think about it?
Those bridges go across a bay to more mainland (relatively speaking). One would hardly expect Fortune Island to be accessed there.
