Unfortunately, it could be Porsche Pack again. Why unfortunately? cause we can get few Porsches and Bucket List for them (like in FH2 but now more expensive). I dont think that were awating the expansion LIKE THIS. Thats all. What do you think about that? Do you think like me that two DLC from the Expansion Pass should be like Storm Island? Not one Winter Island and second just a funny car pack?
I find the Blizzard to be too expensive for what it gives. The full game, new and pre-order cost me 52,50 €. So 19.99 for Blizzard doesn´t compare. Hoping next expansion to be better value. Shame expansion only very rarely go down in price.
Actually, expansion simply means an increase in the game content, be that cars, map expansions, or more festivals. Nowhere does it say that the expansion has to be a new map or larger map. Technically, car packs are expansions as well.
I have to disagree. You are mixing up simple DLC and a game Expansion. Adding a few cars and challenges is not expanding the bordaries of the game. It’s simply DLC, extra content for the existing game. Expansion is like Blizzard mountain. The game is expanded and you get to use your previously acquired content in a new environment. Also didn’t you notice they sell a car pass and an expansion pass? What would be the point of doing that XD
Yes I noticed, I have both and I’ve been around since FM1, I know how they work. However, strictly by definition an expansion is anything that makes the game larger or more expansive. Extra cars make the game car list larger, expanding it if you will, therefore my argument still stands.
No dude. Expansion is expanding the game. DLC packs are different from expansions. And good job, you’ve played since FM1. That doesn’t boost your credibility… I’ve played WoW. I know what expansions are compared to DLC.
Boii… discrediting someone’s using a game RELATED to what we are talking about as credibility… and then instantly going to bring up WoW as credibility. Smooth move.
Clap. Clap. Clap.
Also, considering the fact that adding cars to the car list is technically expanding the game, or at least the car list… WHICH IS PART OF THE GAME… it is technically an expansion just as much as Blizzard Mountain is an expansion. They both add to the games content.
So, to summarize, saying playing WoW credits you after discrediting someone saying playing the pre-predecessor to the game we’re actually talking about is just… dumb. Also, yes, a car pack and an expansion are technically the same thing, considering they both add to the game. However, what they each mean to FORZA specifically is different.
Man. Y’all can’t grasp the notion of sarcasm can you? And no. Like I said above, DLCs are not expansions. No new races. No new achievements. And no new menus. It’s seriously not that hard to understand.
If you can’t grasp the concept of what we’re saying, then you don’t know how to read. And if new achievements make something an expansion, does that not mean every forzathon is an expansion?
Expanding the car list is expanding the game! Playing WoW does not make you an expert in what an expansion is, nor does it boost your credibility either as I’m sure a good many of us on this site have played WoW at some point in time.
Ever play Magic or any other TCG? Hey guess what, they release expansions too! Know what they are? Packs of cards that expand the card list and every now and again add new content or mechanics. Sound familiar?
Having troubles with simple sarcasm? I was using your logic to prove how idiotic saying “hur hur hur I’ve been playing this game since [insert game here] I know what I’m talking about” is. Now you see. And no. DLC add cars. But they are not expansions. Did you see any new races? Did you see any new achievement? Did you have a whole menu dedicated to the expansion? No? Then sit back down.
You said it yourself, we already have a car pass for new cars, so what’s the point selling a car pack for 20$ and calling it an “expansion”
Of course you are right about the strict definition of expansion, but man, how can we agree with a simple car pack being sold as “expansion” for 3X the price of a car pack.
If you pay half the price of the full game for expansions, you clearly expect real content, not just +10 cars to a total of 400 already released.
You also have to remember. If you have the Ultimate Edition you get both the Porsche Expansion (Most likely 20 cars if it’s price at 20$ US) and Blizzard Mountain for the Price of 1 and a quarter expansions. So 5 bucks for 20 cars doesn’t sound like an overly bad deal. While I’m not a huge fan of adding just cars in the Porsche expansion, it’s most likely, and if you have the Ultimate Edition, it isn’t really a bad bargain. Especially if they add things like a Weissach Package for the 918 and widebodys for the older 911s.
This. That’s why I went ahead and got the Expansion Pass for $25 earlier this month, because it’s only $5 more than just one expansion, and snow sounded so cool to me. Even if the other expansion ends up being Porsche, I don’t mind paying what would essentially be $5 for a Porsche expansion.
I had the same rationale here. While I like Porsche, I don’t $20 every year like Porsche. $5 though, for Porsche Expansion Pack #4 (Jesus…), ok. I’m fine with that.
And even if it’s not a PEP, then I’m spending less on this next expansion than I would be on a normal car pack. Not too bad of a deal.
