All I hear about the Porsche Expansion is that you guys don’t want another expansion. “Porsche needs to stop being a diva and join the other manufacturers” and “We don’t want another Porsche Expansion”.
I come to speak about this on behalf of us, the Porsche fans. The thing is, we enjoy the Porsche expansion. This pushes the developers to make more models than others. We would get more models with the expansion than we would without it. Yeah, we have to pay $20 or however much they charge, but to us that is entirely worth it. We get frustrated when the only thing we hear on the forums about Porsche nowadays is you guys whining. What do you guys think the devs will do when they hear everyone complaining. We are just going to be seeing less cars, less detail in the cars, and see them pooped out fast as a car pack or something. We totally agree that Forza needs to be a bit more intelligent in their DLC content and make something original, but leave that for something else. Don’t take away from our pride and joy because you want something else. Imagine if your favorite cars only came in an expansion and everyone crapped on it. Please try to be a bit more optimistic.
Us Porsche Fans request that the complaining stop. Please.
I’m with Rcgers on this one, why is this here? I mean yeah you can post here 'because you can. But posting this here will do nothing for you, I’m not trying to bash you for what you said, but posting that here will most likely have little to no effect whatsoever
Ah, the classic “whining about other people whining” argument. Please, that is one of the worst arguments you could use, as it hardly accomplishes anything.
I’d sure love some new tracks. Honestly after three months, the game needs new tracks, not another 4 versions of a 911, for example. I like Porsche just fine. A lot more than most of the Euro manufacturers. It’s the principal of it, not the cars, for me.
If it’s an Expansion, give us more than 10 new cars, some Rival times to beat (how neato), more than One Barn Find,–make that actually hard to find, and give us tracks that Modded Out Porsches and other High S2 cars can breathe on.
See I absolutely agree with that though. There should be more than just Porsches in the expansions assuming that’s what we see. I mainly direct the complaint at people who don’t want the expansion all together…
I believe there may be more people who would like to see a expansion like the blizzard expansion or maybe New Zealand, than a Porsche one. There are a lot of manufactors out there so by pure stats its much more likely more people like other cars than porsche. I am one of these people. The reason that you see more people whining about porsche is because more people dont want porsche than those who do. I think they should do maybe a 7 car porsche pack and with expansion 2, 7 more porsches along with a map expansion, best of both worlds. I think that would make everyone happy.
Personally i dont care if porsche is in or not, id just like then to fix some issues first. (E.g Aussie Fords are american cars, as a aussie this really grinds ma gears)
Eh, as long as there’s some resemblance to an Expansion. If its a glorified car pack, then they can get lost.
No other manufacturer has this special treatment. And paying separately for them 4 or 5 games in a row has quickly gotten old for a glorified car pack.
I like the Porsches and want to see them in the game, but I’m not a fan of Porsche making it so that their cars have to be part of some extra-money, cars-only expansion. Take the free advertising for your glorified Beetles … I’m just playing, I like Porsches.
The whining I whine about not wanting to hear is when people complain that the porsche expansion and snow expansion not being including in the Ultimate Edition. The Ultimate Edition spelled out what was included, and the price for it was a discount over buying everything it included piece by piece. “Ultimate” is just a marketing word in this context, meaning that there’s no other edition of the game that you can buy that includes more. It didn’t mean “includes everything” and wasn’t advertised that way. Wah, wah, wah wah wah … oh yeah, and wah!
I want the 918 mostly, but there are a bunch of Porsches i’d love to see. I’d also like to see some new tracks or some tracks mirrored at least, COUGH COUGH goliath COUGH COUGH. I hope it isn’t 20 buck however…we’ll see.
I would prefer if they put Blueprint in properly though, and just let us design our own races, as they said would be the case, in almost as misleading wording as with NMS.
Porsche…Yawn. While I agree they should be in the game, so should a lot of other cars, trucks etc that get ignored, but if it will help, please put Porsche in the game. Please!
Have I missed something where they have confirmed the second pack is a Porsche pack?
I bought the expansion pass hoping that the second one wouldn’t be a Porsche pack… Although I figure it would probably be one, I just have to hope it comes with some good stuff. Porsches are great cars and I like that others can have them, but for me I have pretty much zero interest in driving them in a Horizon game or doing new bucket list challenges with them. If it comes with a map expansion or new tracks and stuff I won’t mind so much.
I figured I was screwed either way… If I didn’t buy the pass and only bought the winter thing, then the second expansion would be something great and I would end up wishing I bought the pass. Since I did buy the pass, it probably will be some lame “here’s some 911s and new bucket challenges!” type of pack.
Why is that? By definition and expansion is just an addition of content. So, as I’ve said before, car packs are just smaller expansions, since they are expanding the content of the base game.
I’m getting tired of seeing ‘glorified car pack’ and Porsche expansion not being an expansion complaints, as it is merely a different interpretation as to the meaning of the word expansion, just as the complaints with the word Ultimate being used to describe the highest possible package for the game vs. people thinking it included everything just because it was call ultimate.
Seriously, stop using your own definition of the word to justify you’re not happy with what is considered ultimate or an expansion.
ln case some people don’t know by this date Porsche licenses are “owned” by EA until 2017. This is why we pay Microsoft for them to pay EA for these cars. (So your frustration is actually pointed to EA and Porsche for making that deal.)
l suspect why people are upset about another possible Porsche expansion is it being part of the two expansion in the exp’ pass.
