Last Lap, im destroying these kids in SEVERAL different hoppers, beating the 2nd place racer by 20 seconds in the same class, and the last place sore loser drives really slow so as not to become ghost, and as I approach the last couple corners, they intentionally ram you off the road. I understand that I should be an amazing driver and avoid them at all costs, but between the bobbing and weaving and slowing down, the 2nd place will catch up…or the douche will ram me into the guardrail. Suggestion: If you are CLEARLY slacking off/cheating/ramming, such as 4 laps behind the person ahead of you, you should turn into a ghost so you don’t get in the way of other racers… I have reported and blocked several people (idiots with 800+ level, [Mod Edit - implied profanity - DE]). Wondering if FM5 has that player matching tech (that I thought I read about somewhere about this game having it) where based on reviews and driving style/lap times/level, that you aren’t matched up with idiots, or else people that aren’t in the same league as you. It seems like I constantly race against bratty little kids, or middle aged men who have nothing better to do with their lives than to ram people and make themselves feel better about winning a game. Gets me pretty fired up.
I guess what Im asking is, does the game place you intelligently with racers of the same caliber/level? Obviously not level, because I always race against people with 600, 700, 800+ driver level. Which I cant understand at all anyway, I play this game a lot, and Im around 104 or something, I don’t even think the game has been out long enough for people to reach such ridiculous levels. Unless they do oval races in single player with maxed HP civics with no handling mods and run the wall on 50 laps. No talent.
First post BTW, getting into this forum as well as BeamNG, a really insane car physics tech-demo/purchased alpha release. Check out the youtube videos of that game, really impressive.
The levels you speak of are completely possible and very likely legitimate. That said, I can’t help but to notice that your posting is full of condescending insults (i.e. - losers, bratty little kids, idiots, no talent, middle aged men with nothing better to do …). Forza is, in fact, a videogame and people are going to play it to their liking. Just as has been said with any of the already existing threads, either find a way to navigate around them to the best of your ability or start putting together a friends list of folks who match your driving style and arrange private custom lobbies. Yes, Turn 10 has confirmed that matchmaking has been improved to better the multiplayer experience; but, it isn’t and never will be perfect.
Also, it will behoove you to keep it in mind that not everyone is into the game for the same reasons you are and could very well be enjoying the game the way they feel it is intended to be played. Whether that is right or wrong is irrelevant when they are a title, console and Xbox Live paying customer like you and me. So, long as they aren’t breaking Xbox Live’s Terms of Use, they are well within their rights and dishing out digs in the anonymity of the internet makes you no more a gentleman than they.
