There is someone going around copying vinyls from my storefront and other peoples, I have tried reasoning with this person once and they originally apologised removing my stuff not denying what they were doing, they then did it again on Forza 7 never removing the copied content after I asked them to, I assumed they would after they were asked on another profile after they blocked me from contacting them. Now they have gone on to somehow rip my vinyls apart even further putting bits of them on cars thinking I won’t realise what they are doing. They also copy many other peoples stuff as its a near exact replica just they remove some markings. This person needs stopping as they are ruining the design fun and community for all of us genuine designers that really put the hours in creating our designs. I know I can’t name and shame but I can easily give the name of the person if needed. There should be an image of pokemon vinyls attached to this thread showing mine and the persons copies, they still have these on Forza 7 now. If You check my gamertag on xboxclips.com and click screenshots you will see pic of copied designs as I don’t think picture has attached to this post. Sorry it’s my first ever post.
update- it looks like this person has finally been banned as their storefront has vanished along with every vinyl and design they had on, it’s a great result for the painting community.
I am annoyed to say that the person I previously reported who looked to have been banned has returned after about a week, I am even more disappointed to see that they have immediately gone back to sharing copied stuff, it might not be my stuff as of yet but they can’t continue to share other peoples stuff as their own and receive any sort of credit for it, I also noticed they have kept their semi pro painters status that was acquired from using copied stuff in the first place, something that should have been stripped from them as they didn’t earn it. Please put a stop to this persons actions as obviously a short ban has done nothing to deter them from reoffending. I have tried attaching pictures of the original artists work and the copycats, if they can’t be view just go to xboxclips.com and type in my gamertag to view, it clearly shows the level of copying. As a community we should look out for each other and report those who try to ruin it.
I spoke too soon this person now has car designs on using the pokemon eevee evolution vinyls they copied of me, the same ones as last time, they are becoming a real joke. I can’t get pics of cars though as I don’t know how to block the players name on them ones.
Please help this person is still actively sharing locked vinyls and designs, they have to be banned again on forza horizon 3 and forza 7, I have tried setting up a whole new post on this topic but they fail to appear after I create them. I can give the name of this person if it is required, so if someone from the correct department can act on this persons activities I would be greatful as this person obviously thinks they have gotten away with doing it for a second time. I am getting a little fed up now as action was taken swiftly the first time I reported this person and now nothing seems to be getting done about them, the pictures on my post prove they are obviously using some sort of hack or cheat.Thank you in advance if you take action.
Since Forza 1 people are copying others, but that’s not always just to copy.
For example… If you see a very nice sticker but you don’t like the colors, you download it, recreate it and probably share your new creation.
The benefit is that you are always able to change the colors and you helped someone without you even know ;).
Don’t take everything so heavy, it’s just a game and if people recreate your sticker see it as a compliment that they took yours for it. It is also for you a extra download to get a bit closer to the legendary painter status
I don’t have to if others just let people play the game the way they want.
I got banned twice in the last 2 months while i never download or recreate designs/stickers. Turn10 doesn’t give a clear answer and just reffering to the policies, but now I see how it’s possible. You just complain a bit on a forum and you will get banned. i’m sure the guy also has send a mail with detailed info to them, that’s not very fair because the others are not able to defend themself.
Anyhow… Just play the game bro and enjoy the download you get from people who recreate your stickers. Don’t be disappoint, there are millions of people playing the game so that 3 copies you had won’t make a big difference.
First of all I am not a guy I am a girl, you know girl gamers do exist. Secondly the issue with this gamer I came on the forum about has been an ongoing issue that you know hardly anything about, if they were doing their own versions of mine and other people vinyls then fair enough but they aren’t they are somehow unlocking them and changing a few things, unlocking them is against policies hence I reported them. I don’t go around reporting people for no reason and this is the first person I have ever had to do this with. I have an ongoing investigation with turn10 which has been going for about a month now so don’t sit there telling me I complain and they get banned without the other person being able to defend themselves, I have messages from this player not denying what they were doing so as for defending themselves they shot themselves in the foot. 1 or 2 vinyls I would have let slide but not when they continued to do this over and over adding up to more than 3, if I had done nothing they would have used hacked copies far more than they already have, the principle is they spend a tiny amount of time removing a few markings or changing a colour, I spend hours creating the vinyl, if they create it from scratch then it wouldn’t bother me but they don’t the accuracy proves it. Imitation is fine hacking isn’t. I’m sorry if you felt you got banned for nothing but don’t take that out on me, I wouldn’t report anyone if I didn’t feel I had the evidence to back up my claims.
The layers will be different as this person removes shading ect but if you study the pictures further up this post you will see that there is something clearly going on and like I previously mentioned this player hasn’t denied what they were doing, also like I said their is more to this case than I can actually mention whilst there is an ongoing investigation. If I get close up shots you can even pick out the imperfections, when I am next on forza horizon I will take more pics just for you to see, tracing a tiny imperfection countless times, I don’t think so. Like I said I don’t accuse people for the sake of it.
