Some design's straight lines look pixelated, what to do?

So I’ve been working on replicating my favorite rally driver’s livery in FH2 and–after reading a couple threads I can see I might have to redo some of the logos, but that’s not what I’m asking about.

I’ve noticed that some of the designs on the livery have pixelated edges while driving around but they get smoothed when I enter photo mode/in the garage etc… How can I make them look crisp and clean all the time?
Thanks in advance for any advice.

Play around with placing the logos. Sometimes you need to shift the placing up or down a bit.

I too have noticed this , glad its not just me. I have come out of the design editor and gone in game to see how the design looks then gone back to the design editor for minor adjustments to the car design some cars seem to be worse than others for this problem.

When you create a logo this can be annoying but such is life

Are we talking 360 or one

Sorry, I’m on the One.

The problem I’ve had is not so much logos, they’re doing it sometimes too, but it’s mainly vinyl shapes having pixelated edges in my designs when not viweing them in the smoothed photo mode or in the design creator. Generally it’s when I’ve had to make a shape ginormous or skew it like crazy to get it to look right. Are these just quirks in the system and I just have to suck it up or is there a way around it?

PS
here’s my WIP:

Its all down to the rendering. i think weather effects meant they had to turn down to vinyl quality which is why we’re seeing pixelation i’m afraid :frowning:
Nothing anyone can do sorry

I’ve noticed this as well. They do a good job of minimizing it, the top of the car, i.e. the roof, seems to get the worst of it. Likely since it’s the lease seen in a race.

Looks cool so far, can’t wait until its done. I am not a painter, so I don’t really notice any major issues. Looks good to me.

It’s thanks to the game secretly compressing the car’s design to avoid framerate drop. It does this in every single Forza game unfortunately, although some are worse than others. Hopefully in the far, far future we’ll have the same car skinning tools as the developers so we don’t have to deal with the stupid compression (like how a stock racecar’s design in FM5 remains mostly uncompressed when racing). Nothing worse than spending hours on a design just to see it’s all aliased and compressed when you go to drive it… I especially feel bad for the people that want to do pinstripe designs and end up with awful looking, blurry lines if the shapes aren’t rotated to a perfectly straight angle (0°, 90°, 180°, etc)…

The Forza vinyl editor needs a major overhaul. Logos that are shrunk need to be a higher quality instead of pixelating.
