So when is night in horizon?

I know fh5 has some weird rules, so when is night in horizon for daily photo at night? Is night when the sun is out ? When its snowing ? Its clearly not when its pitch black and the stars are out.

It wants you to select night in the photo effects (not actually at in game night). Fun!

That sounds like forza logic :neutral_face: but doing a custom event at night worked too.

I had guessed they meant us to use the new photo effects setting, and bless them for that if it works (haven’t bothered with the Daily) because I remember the last time they had a Daily requiring a photo at night. It simply was not working as you found out. Forza “Night” simply doesn’t exist in freeroam and we finally had to resort to the event setting workaround. Or they intended that in the first place because they knew that Forza “Night” simply doesn’t exist.

Found it interesting when I went to complete the weekly photo challenge yesterday that it was pouring rain & almost dark when arrived at the location but when I switched to photo mode, it was full sun & appeared to be around noon.

That might be the “default” setting in the new and improved photo mode ? If so I wish it defaulted to “current” because yeah, after saving a setting it’s disturbing to always have that setting popping up instead of the current environ. Driving along… oh, there’s a nice pic ! And BAM it’s not the same, and what do I have to change to make it the same :roll_eyes: Yeah, love the new features.

As a side note, with all this “night” talk… anyone else notice, since the reset of “extended” night back to the “normal” very short night, that night is happening more often and day seems shorter ? Or is it just me lol

Yeah, that’s probably the case & if so, unfortunate bc you’re absolutely right that we should be able to capture the existing environment & choose if we want to modify it from there. It’s possibly in the new camera settings somewhere, but I’m not on atm to look.

On the bottom of the photo effects menu there’s an option for ‘default’. It’ll reset the image to the current situation your car is in.

Yes, i tryed to take pictures in pitch black condtions almost, diden`t work, so i had to change the time of day in the photo mode, ( only works in free roam though ) for it to trigger.

FTR, I did it at night without changing the time of day in photo mode.
