i only use tuned by worms tunes and i dig them alot as handling is vastly the most important factor for me anyway.
he don’t tune car’s for say a class above what the car / career league wants
so who should i try
before you go check the tuners lounge. I DO NOT HAVE 2 HOURS TO GO THROUGH EVERY THREAD i only get 4 hours a day to game i don’t want to spend said time on a forum looking for what i desire.
I won’t do your homework for you; but, I will say: go into online with what you’ve got, see how well you will do with that and, then, strategize for tune shopping.
just hit the two square button while in upgrade and it’ll pop up recommended tunes, if you want a tune for a specific track hit the two square button again and select that track. pick one download and install. in multiplayer hit the a button while the upper left square is selected then select load a tune and hit the two square button twice, enter the track, pick a tune, download and install, and go racing. also select what class you want the tune for in search, i forgot that. dont want to tune yourself out of a race.
I see a problem with asking “us” who we like tunes by. Your driving style will differ from “ours”, so a tuner we like might not work for you. Also if they tune with no assists and you use them, the tunes may not translate well. That being said, I really liek Raceboy77 as a tuner. but you may not. I know you don’t have a lot of time to play a day (more than me) but you are going to have to try many a tuner to see who fits your driving style the best.
Absolutely spot-on. For example, there is a very popular tuner whose tunes I’ve discovered just flat-out don’t work for me. Due to my own lack of skill? Probably. Everytime I try his tunes, I can’t get traction and spin halfways around the track. It’s not because his tunes are bad. It’s probably because he is an awesome driver and is good enough to get around with the lowest quality tires. I am not, hence I don’t use his tunes, anymore.
As for tunes I prefer, I like Worm (look for TG Wormburner, not “Tuned by Worm”. He’ll tell you himself that the TBW tunes were quickly done and not his best. Although, because it is Worm, they are still pretty good.) Also, Takumi’s are very good and I’m starting to use more FRS Jose.
Another one to look for is ONR RoadRunner. He also has an Open Sourse in the tuners lounge where he gives you everything from parts to the tune itself. That way you’ll have his tune to start with, then if needed you could adjust to fit your style. Also, I’ve personally have never used TG Wormburner’s tune but know of a lot of guys in Lobby’s that do.
Someone’s confusing “I wanna play online” with “what tunes are needed for that”. You can use/run/find tunes for the “offline” races as well; wonder why you never bothered trying that, seeing if you like a tune, make a tune yourself and try it out against the “Unbeatable Drivatar” in your Career races.
And in the line of some other replies; ONLY 4 hours a day? Darn son, I feel for you; with my job, my commute, my household, my social life and other stuff I need to do, I am glad if I average 7H a week, if that…
so tgwormburner is the real worm? i never knew that i thought it was a copy cat.
i really don’t know what car’s to try out in any class i just used what was in career on the last forza i had ton of guys recomend me cars and tunes off the market that i enjoyed i dont use assists and i consider my self an awful driver but i dont care about top speed handling and braking are important to me the most. if i know a track has huge straights i try to pick a car with good speed but its not a killer for me as i usually catch up in the corners.
i’m not trying to seem like an ass but this website gives me a nightmare and i really don’t know where to start racing online.
Given that explanation I would start in the ABCs. I think they are now as far right in the hopper listings. Cars to try are my C1 corvette in c, GTz Chriz F50 in S and maybe my 92 Escort in B. My friends who wand a handling focus like those.
Just a hint; this site might not be the most helpful for instant info you are looking for. I assume the best way to get yourself started is determine if you want to run all classes online or specialize on just a few. Personally, online racing in the lobbies, I tend to stick to C or B class cars. Now, to determine which cars are fast globally, I can look in the Rivals section, find the C and B class events and look what cars are basically covering the top 250 in lap times. You will probably end up making a decision between 2 to 5 cars per class.
Now, buy two cars for that class and download some highly recommended/rated tunes for it. Names have been posted before but not all tunes suit everyones driving style. On of my favorites is Raceboy77 but only because I followed his ghost around several tracks trying to better my personal laptimes. Get familiar with the tune, preferably offline (I mean Career or Rivals) to find out exactly how it behaves under heavy braking, extreme steering (to avoid crashes) or how soon you can throttle up again hitting apexes.
If you feel comfy after a few days, take these cars online but don’t forget to load the correct tune for the track voted. As you already point out; you might need a different car/tune for a certain track. I tend to not care about speed as well; my personal tunes are mostly in C-class for extreme grip & acceleration. Other (good) drivers are able to compensate lower grip with their skills and can run a higher speed car.
Feel it out, get your wits sorted with a few cars and hopefully enjoy a good online career soon!
Give my tunes a try if you want, link to all current tunes in my sig.
I do well with them, but as with any tunes you download, you need to have the same driving style as the tuner. Details on my controller setup and assists are in the spreadsheet.
thank’s i really don’t have a style i just drive. i try to get better but really i just want to finish top 5. i really don’t know what cars would be good in what class i always used friends info and this website for reccomendations
Ers has a huge list of cars in the link below… try them out and hopefully u will like them… If not the list of tuners up above is a good starting point.
If u want to run b class try out some of my muscle cars… don’t let the word muscle scare u off because they handle really well…
Also if u would like some help on tuning send me a party invite next time u see me on and I will give u some pointers.
Good luck bud and hope u enjoy the multiplayer experience
Now your best bet is probably to get into a car you want to drive search through the tunes for a name you recognize. If you like the tune “like” it and follow the creator. If you want a specific car/class/track tune it can be pretty difficult to find something as no one has a tune for every car in each class and track type. This is what got me into tuning as I drive mostly “oddball” cars.
You can always head here to see if your tuner has a catalog up of their tunes.
thank’s i really don’t know where to start but i hate muscle car’s since i use no assists and i have horrible thorttle control i lose tractioin and the tail always goes to wide so i drift.
If some of you would like to add me i’ll accept going to need some new forza friends to chat with.
i have no interest in learning tuning my self i tried on 4 and just gave up. bought one car used one tune for all tracks and did decent enough i suppose considering most my friends still play for and are top 1000 on every track on forza 5 the little they’ve played im faster then them this time they dont like forza 5 for what ever reason.
